The summary above was generated by AI

Albert helps chemists change the world by building technology that understands how they work. As chemists ourselves, we know what it’s like when software doesn’t work the way you do — stuck with systems built by people who never spent a day at the bench. That’s why we created Albert OS, the first AI-native operating system for materials science, designed to remove every obstacle between curiosity and discovery.

We’re looking for an ambitious and results-driven Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our growing team. This role, with a focus on building Albert’s category narrative and owning the end-to-end launch strategy for Albert OS, will play a key part in driving successful outcomes for Albert’s most strategically important customers and market positioning.

If you’re passionate about cutting-edge technology and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, we want to hear from you.

What you'll do

Strategy & Delivery

  • Own the category narrative and positioning for Albert OS, translating complex scientific and technical capabilities into clear, differentiated market messaging that resonates with R&D and materials science audiences.
  • Develop and own the executive narrative that the CEO presents at industry events — articulating the future of chemistry as a discipline and how Albert’s product vision makes that future real, positioning Albert as the defining platform of a new category.
  • Define and execute product launch GTM strategy end-to-end, from positioning and messaging to launch timing, channel activation, and post-launch measurement.
  • Lead Analyst Relations programs and build Albert’s presence with key industry analysts and influencers in the materials science and R&D software space.

Execution & Collaboration

  • Develop first-call messaging and sales enablement materials that equip the commercial team to articulate Albert’s value proposition with precision and confidence across scientific and business audiences.
  • Manage the PR agency relationship, owning story development, media strategy, and executive thought leadership opportunities that reinforce Albert’s category leadership.
  • Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Forward Deployed Science teams to ensure market messaging reflects real customer outcomes and the full capabilities of the Albert OS platform.

Leadership & Impact

  • Serve as the internal authority on competitive positioning and market narrative, influencing roadmap conversations, GTM priorities, and executive communications across the organization.
  • Represent Albert at industry events, analyst briefings, and customer-facing forums, translating Albert’s scientific credibility into compelling public presence.
You will have
  • 8+ years of marketing experience, with demonstrated ownership of product marketing at a B2B technology company.
  • Proven track record in messaging, positioning, and category narrative development for technical or scientific products.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional product launches from strategy through execution, including positioning, messaging, enablement, campaign coordination, and post-launch performance analysis.
  • Background in chemistry, life sciences, or an adjacent scientific domain strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft executive-level narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across Product, Sales, and Executive teams in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience managing PR agency relationships and Analyst Relations programs, including analyst briefings and inquiry management nice to have
Key Competencies

Innovator: Passionate about shaping how a market thinks, not just how a product is described.

Systems Thinking: Ability to connect product vision, customer outcomes, and market narrative into a coherent, differentiated story.

Grit: Self-starter and persistent problem solver, relentless in building something new from a blank page.

Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including executive stakeholders.

Empathy: Deep listener across scientific, commercial, and executive personas; translates diverse perspectives into unified messaging.

Leadership: Ability to drive high-visibility initiatives and shape organizational priorities with limited oversight.

Why Albert?

We have a huge impact. Albert is a growing team with a global reach. We’re building toward a future where discovery feels like exploration, not administration. Where chemists can pursue their most ambitious ideas without friction.

We love our global team. Albert’s HQ is in the California Bay Area, but we have multiple offices and employees around the globe: India, Germany and Japan. In fact, over 50% of our employees work outside of California. An international hybrid culture is in our DNA.

We care about you. Albert works hard to create a positive environment for our employees, and we think your life outside of work is important too. We work hard and we play hard.

We value diversity. Growing and maintaining our inclusive and diverse team matters to us. We are committed to being a company where our employees feel comfortable bringing their authentic selves to work and have the ability to be successful — every day.

We’re always looking for humble, sharp, and creative folks to join the Albert team. If you think you might be a fit, please apply.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
