About GameChanger:

We believe in the life-changing impact youth sports have on and off the field. Sports encourage leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and confidence – important life lessons that have the power to propel our youth toward meaningful futures. We recognize that without coaches, parents, and volunteers, organized youth sports could not exist. By building the first and best place to experience the youth sports moments important to our community, we are helping families elevate the next generation through youth sports.

So if you love sports and their community building potential, or building cool products is your sport, GameChanger is the team for you. We are a dynamic tech company based in New York City, and we are solving some of the biggest challenges in youth sports today.

About the Role

GameChanger is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll own the go-to-market strategy for some of our newest product investments, helping define how new experiences come to market and drive adoption across coaches, parents, athletes, and organizations.

This is an embedded product marketing role. You’ll partner closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Data team from early product discovery through launch—bringing customer, competitive, and market insights into product decisions, shaping positioning and messaging, and ensuring every launch delivers meaningful customer value.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys building where there isn’t yet a playbook. You’ll thrive if you’re energized by ambiguity, comfortable influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority, and excited to help define both the product experience and the go-to-market strategy in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. This role works on a hybrid basis in our NYC HQ and reports to the Director of Product Marketing and sits within our Commercial organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Define and execute go-to-market strategy for your assigned product area, including segmentation, cross-functional alignment, and planning across quarterly and annual cycles.

  • Identify and close gaps in user, industry, and competitive knowledge, leading research to surface opportunities and sharpen GTM strategy.

  • Own positioning and messaging, ensuring differentiation across segments and alignment with our company vision.

  • Serve as an embedded strategic partner to Product Managers, Designers, and Data & Analytics throughout the product development lifecycle—not just at launch. Bring customer, competitive, and market insights into roadmap discussions, influence product direction, shape user experiences, and ensure products are positioned for successful adoption before they ship.

  • Drive feature adoption by identifying and activating the right marketing channels, partnerships, and GTM motions.

  • Measure GTM effectiveness across launches and adoption campaigns, identify gaps, and lead iterative improvements to strategy and execution.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B and/or B2C within high-growth companies.

  • Experience bringing new products or features from 0→1—creating positioning, defining go-to-market strategy, and building processes where no established playbook existed.

  • Experience launching entirely new products, business lines, or customer experiences from concept through adoption.

  • Experience in consumer subscription products, mobile applications, creator/community platforms, sports technology, or other consumer technology businesses.

  • Strong strategic thinker who can translate user insights, market context, and product vision into clear positioning, messaging, and GTM plans.

  • Strong communication, executive presence, and influencing skills with the ability to build trust and manage positive cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure in evolving product areas or emerging business lines.

  • Data-informed and highly curious, with experience using customer insights, experimentation, and performance metrics to refine strategy and drive adoption.

  • Based in the New York City or Tri-state area and available to join the team in person approximately monthly for collaboration, planning, and key product initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in sports tech; you understand the landscape, the users, and what it takes to win in this space.

  • Bonus if you bring a deep understanding of basketball.

Perks:

  • Work on a hybrid basis from our well-furnished, modern office in Manhattan, NY.

  • Unlimited vacation policy.

  • Paid volunteer opportunities.

  • Technology stipend - $4,000 every 2 years after your start to make sure you have the latest and greatest technology.

  • WFH stipend - $500 annually to make your WFH situation comfortable.

  • Monthly physical, mental, wellness & learning stipend offered through Holisticly.

  • Monthly lifestyle stipend offered through Fringe.

  • Full health benefits - medical, dental, vision, prescription, FSA, HRA, HSA, and coverage for family/dependents.

  • Retirement savings - Traditional and Roth 401K plans are offered through Vanguard, with an immediate company match.

  • Life insurance - basic life, supplemental life, and dependent life.

  • Disability leave - short-term disability and long-term disability.

  • Company paid parental leave - up to 20 weeks for birthing parents and up to 12 weeks for non-birthing parents.

  • Family building benefits offered through Progyny.

  • DICK'S Sporting Goods and their family of brands teammate discount.

The target salary range for this position is between $140,000 - $160,000. This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
