Hi, I'm Alan Roth. I lead Product Marketing here at Jane, which means I spend my days thinking about how we tell Jane's story, understand the practitioners we serve, and grow thoughtfully, especially as we expand in the US. Outside of work, I'm a soccer player, a traveler whenever I can manage it, and a dad to two daughters who keep me honest about what actually matters.
This role is one of the most important seats on our PMM team right now. We're at an inflection point. Jane is trusted by hundreds of thousands of practitioners across North America, and we're working to make sure the world knows it. The Platform PMM owns why Jane, at the platform level — the connective tissue between our brand, our core positioning, and how that story shows up everywhere a practitioner encounters us: marketing, product, web, and the frontline teams talking to them every day.
This role exists to do one essential thing: make sure Jane is the practice management platform of choice for a diverse group of health practitioners. That means owning the core story, how we position Jane, what claims we make and can stand behind, and how we translate that story into every channel that touches a prospective customer: the website, campaigns, trials, and sales conversations.
You'll be a key partner to our Brand, Web, and Growth teams, a steward of our core messaging architecture, and the person who ensures that when a practitioner encounters Jane for the first time, whether through a Google search, a trial signup, or a conversation with our team, they immediately understand why Jane was built for them.
This is a senior, cross-functional role. You'll need to be as comfortable in a positioning workshop as you are reviewing web copy, analyzing funnel data, or coaching a frontline team on how to have a better conversation with a potential Jane customer.
What Impact We’re Looking for You to MakeOwn Jane's core platform positioning, messaging architecture, and claims strategy. You're the steward of how Jane shows up at the brand level — the value proposition, the communication pillars, and the metrics and proof points that make our story credible. This is a living system you actively manage and share with others, and it's the foundation everything else in this role builds on. You're also a key voice in pricing conversations bringing platform value framing, competitive intelligence, and funnel performance data that inform how we think about packaging and pricing decisions.
Connect our story to where the product is actually going. Partner closely with Product so our integrated campaigns, including our ongoing "What's New" work, are grounded in the roadmap rather than just what already shipped. You'll work directly with Product leadership to understand what's coming, translate that into positioning early, and make sure the story we tell practitioners today sets up the one we'll tell next quarter.
Partner with our growth channels. Try Jane and our website are where most practitioners meet Jane for the first time, and you're a key strategic partner across both. With Product Growth, you'll shape audience targeting, messaging, and funnel motion for the trial experience. With Web and Design, you'll bring positioning discipline to information architecture and a test-and-learn approach to the site. You'll also make sure the right experience shows up at every core touchpoint. Whether that's a demo or a high-impact video, your fingerprints will be on the story.
Empower our frontline teams with the platform story. Support and customer success are often a practitioner's first real conversation with Jane, and what they carry into that conversation should be Jane's core platform value — why Jane. You'll build the talk tracks, competitive responses, and messaging frameworks that anchor every conversation in that story. Your goal is making sure the platform value prop is the foundation underneath everything they say.
7+ years in Product Marketing or a closely related role, with experience operating at the platform or brand level.
Demonstrated strength in customer backed positioning and messaging architecture. You've built messaging frameworks that others use and maintain.
Experience partnering on PLG motions. Funnel strategy, trial optimization, and self-serve acquisition are in your tool belt as a strategic partner to a Growth team.
Comfort working from product strategy and roadmap inputs, translating what's coming into positioning before it ships.
Experience with SaaS pricing and packaging strategy — competitive analysis, willingness-to-pay input, research, and packaging trade-offs.
High comfort working on the website as a marketing channel in service of how a platform is positioned including information architecture, conversion thinking, and cross-functional collaboration with design and engineering.
Strong enablement instincts. You understand what frontline teams need to have better conversations and can build it efficiently.
Analytical enough to work with funnel and campaign data, and strong enough as a writer to shape copy and messaging directly.
Experience in healthcare SaaS or a highly regulated vertical is a meaningful plus.
Comfortable building playbooks. You can build structure from ambiguity and know when to move and when to pressure-test.
