Kensho is S&P Global’s hub for AI innovation and transformation. With expertise in machine learning, natural language processing, and data discovery, we develop and deploy novel solutions to innovate and drive progress at S&P Global and its customers worldwide. Kensho's solutions and research focus on business and financial generative AI applications, agents, data retrieval APIs, data extraction, and much more.

At Kensho, we hire talented people and give them the autonomy and support needed to build amazing technology and products. We collaborate using our teammates' diverse perspectives to solve hard problems. Our communication with one another is open, honest, and efficient. We dedicate time and resources to explore new ideas, but always rooted in engineering best practices. As a result, we can innovate rapidly to produce technology that is scalable, robust, and useful.

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Senior Product Manager with a strong background in finance to lead our generative AI initiatives. This is a high growth potential role and the perfect opportunity for someone with high agency who is capable of navigating the complexities of finance and technology within large organizations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI solutions that meet emerging market needs, support our customers, and drive our strategic vision.

Kensho states that the anticipated base salary range for the position is 170-210k. At Kensho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

What You'll Do:

  • Live at the intersection of frontier AI and financial data and content that powers global markets

  • Own the product roadmap and end-to-end delivery for generative AI projects, defining how S&P Global's data and assets are exposed to agents and AI-native experiences

  • Partner with engineering on technical tradeoffs to develop and deploy AI solutions

  • Work closely with sales and marketing to translate customer needs into product features and compelling value propositions

  • Identify market opportunities by understanding user needs and industry trends

  • Represent Kensho to senior S&P Global stakeholders and partners to ensure alignment and smooth project execution

  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

What You'll Need:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, computer science, or a related field

  • 6+ years of work experience, preferably in technology or finance-related industries

  • Strong understanding of financial markets and products

  • Experience working across the machine learning development lifecycle

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, including collaboration with commercial teams

  • Solid project management skills with experience managing multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative

  • Comfort navigating and managing relationships across a large, complex organization

How to Really Get Our Attention:

  • You've shipped AI products, not just managed them. You can point to something in production that you drove from zero

  • You have real financial domain experience, whether that’s working with financial data, deep knowledge of market structure, or first-hand experience from a financial services role

  • You actually build with AI tools. Side projects, prototypes, automations, Claude Code experiments. You've gotten your hands dirty and have something to show for it

  • You've closely partnered with sales and marketing teams and can bridge the gap between what the product does and why a customer should care

  • You know how to move fast inside a large organization; you find the right leverage points to build momentum across teams

At Kensho, we pride ourselves on providing top-of-market benefits, including:

  •  Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance

  • 100% company paid premiums

  • Unlimited Paid Time Off

  • 26 weeks of 100% paid Parental Leave (paternity and maternity)

  • 401(k) plan with 6% employer matching

  • Generous company matching on donations to non-profit charities

  • Up to $20,000 tuition assistance toward degree programs, plus up to $4,000/year for ongoing professional education such as industry conferences

  • Plentiful snacks, drinks, and regularly catered lunches

  • Dog-friendly office (CAM office)

  • Bike sharing program memberships

  • Compassion leave and elder care leave

  • Mentoring and additional learning opportunities

  • Opportunity to expand professional network and participate in conferences and events

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
