About the Role

Yahoo is seeking a technically strong Product Manager to support and advance Yahoo’s monetization framework across web, app, and video environments. You will focus on improving our transactional framework implementation, strengthening demand partner integrations, enhancing Prebid/GAM configurations, and ensuring our video monetization stacks perform reliably and efficiently.

This role is ideal for someone who excels in hands-on execution, cross-functional coordination, and iterative problem-solving within ad tech systems.

Responsibilities:

Monetization Platform & Integrations

  • Manage the roadmap for video monetization across publishers.

  • Lead day-to-day integration work with partners (publishers, demand providers, identity partners), ensuring stable connections and resolving performance or delivery issues.

  • Support the design and optimization of the monetization framework setup — including inventory structure, integrations, pricing rules, and experiments.

Execution & Delivery

  • Translate monetization needs into clear requirements for engineering, ad ops, and data teams.

  • Drive the delivery of incremental improvements, bug fixes, and feature enhancements across client-side and server-side monetization systems.

  • Conduct partner testing, certification workflows, and QA for new demand integrations and Prebid module updates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, product, and ad operations to ensure monetization features are implemented correctly and do not compromise user experience.

  • Communicate priorities, progress, and risks clearly across teams; help align stakeholders on rollout plans and success criteria.

Analysis & Optimization

  • Use data and auction diagnostics to identify partner issues, performance bottlenecks, or missed revenue opportunities.

  • Support A/B tests and experiments to validate changes and quantify revenue impact.

  • Monitor key KPIs such as win rates, latency, fill, CPMs, and auction timeouts across web, video, and app environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of product management experience in ad tech or monetization platforms.

  • Hands-on familiarity with desktop, mobile web, app, and video monetization ecosystems.

  • Experience with Prebid, GAM, SSP integrations, video monetization platforms, and SDK-based monetization.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; able to translate data into actionable decisions.

  • Experience launching or maintaining monetization features in mobile apps.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Proven success in managing cross-functional projects and delivering iterative improvements.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
