ROLE
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for guiding new features and capabilities from initial concept through production, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. This role ensures that solutions are user-friendly and effectively address business needs. Success requires a deep understanding of Propel's product, the Product Value Management (PVM) space, and a strong empathy for customer challenges.
This position owns a critical area of Propel's product, focusing on product cost, insights, and analysis to inform customer product roadmap strategies and decisions. The Senior Product Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to define, prioritize, and deliver customer experiences that elevate the Propel platform, driving adoption and revenue.
Core Duties
- Market and Product Definition: Identify and define market requirements and business impact through market, customer, and prospect input, translating these into clear product requirements for engineering and QA teams.
- Development Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to balance product velocity with technical solutions and approaches.
- Market and Customer Immersion: Stay informed about market trends and immerse oneself in client businesses and domains, understanding their problems and providing technical solutions.
- Quality Assurance and Support: Collaborate with QA and validation teams to facilitate test cases, present to customers and analysts, support Customer Success Management (CSM) and partner teams, and foster partner collaboration.
- Roadmap Development: Define the product roadmap based on feedback from diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Value Creation and Adoption: Ensure the creation of customer value and drive user adoption for enterprise solutions.
- Strategic Collaboration and Validation: Collaborate with Product Marketing, monitor market trends, and engage continuously with customers and key stakeholders to validate existing product requirements and evolve them as needed.
- Data-Driven Requirements: Leverage internal and external data, including usability studies, research, market trends, and competitive analysis, to inform product requirements.
- Launch and Release Coordination: Plan and coordinate product launches and subsequent releases with product marketing and marketing teams.
- Knowledge Transfer and Training: Coordinate and support field knowledge transfer and training initiatives.
- Industry Passion: Demonstrate passion for Propel's industry leadership and the evolving market landscape.
To be successful in this role you bring:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience within an enterprise SaaS organization (mid-stage startup and beyond).
- Proven successful professional experience with SaaS business models.
- Experience designing actionable data insights and analytics for business users.
- Experience with Salesforce (force.com) and Tableau preferred.
- Experience identifying Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and building new products/solutions in a cross-functional environment.
- Ability to successfully synthesize broad product requirements into clear, concise plans.
- Strong understanding of SaaS technologies, platforms, and data management and analytics, enabling credible conversations with engineers about technical design tradeoffs.
- Proficiency in Agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of discrete manufacturing business processes.
