FourKites is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Manager to join our dynamic team, focusing specifically on our Over the Road (OTR) Shipment solution. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of real-time visibility for ground transportation. You will work closely with our existing customer base to understand their evolving needs, drive enhancements to our current offerings, and spearhead the development and launch of innovative new features and product SKUs.
This position requires a deep understanding of the supply chain domain, particularly from a shipper's perspective. You will need a hands-on, technical approach to problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a strong familiarity with product development tools. As this role primarily serves our US customer base, availability within US time zones is essential.
What you’ll be doing:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the OTR Shipment solution, aligning with company goals and market opportunities.
- Customer Engagement: Actively engage with existing customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and identify opportunities for solution enhancement and new feature development.
- Feature Development & Enhancement: Translate customer needs and market requirements into detailed product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Work closely with engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- New Product/SKU Launch: Lead the end-to-end launch of new products and SKUs, including market analysis, competitive positioning, go-to-market strategy, and internal enablement.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, emerging technologies, and competitive threats, informing product decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineering, design, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.
- Technical Acumen: Dive deep into technical details, understand system architecture, and engage in technical discussions with engineering to ensure feasible and scalable solutions.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize product and engineering tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to manage backlogs, track progress, and communicate effectively across teams.
Who you are:
Required:
- 5+ years of product management experience, with a strong focus on B2B SaaS products.
- Proven domain expertise in supply chain and logistics, specifically within transportation or freight management.
- Demonstrated ability to work hands-on and delve into technical details with engineering teams.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with agile development methodologies and tools like Jira.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Based in the United States, with availability to collaborate effectively within US time zones as well with offshore teams.
Preferred:
- Prior experience working directly for a shipper (e.g., manufacturer, retailer, distributor) in a logistics, transportation, or supply chain role.
- Experience with real-time visibility platforms or similar logistics technology solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
