As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our platform. You will collaborate directly with our CTO, Bradley Friemel, and President, Aaron Plante, to design and implement high-impact features and conduct a full UI refresh. Your responsibilities will include user research, market analysis, and wire framing. Mastery of tools like Miro and Figma is highly desirable, though not required. Your daily tasks will involve managing project timelines and deliverables within Jira, overseeing additional boards, and distributing tasks across our engineering team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to design and prototype new system features.
  • Conduct comprehensive user and market research to validate and prioritize product initiatives.
  • Fully understand the software system features and design.
  • Generate and maintain supportive materials, including customer-facing roadmaps, internal roadmaps, feature reports, release notes, product research reports, and industry research reports.
  • Travel to industry conferences to represent the product, gather market insights, and engage with customers.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables using Jira, and ensure seamless communication across teams.
  • Occasionally travel to Business Offices for team-building events and maintain strong team cohesion.
  • Facilitate the transition of our work environment from startup to established enterprise, influencing the creation of new procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in a tech-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of product design tools such as Miro or Figma.
  • Experience with Agile project management tools, particularly Jira.
  • Ability to work effectively in both team environments and independently.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel infrequently and work on-site during the initial training period.
  • Prior knowledge of the entertainment and rental industry is advantageous but not required as we are developing a comprehensive training system to support your integration and success.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
