About Presence

Presence is the leading provider of teletherapy solutions for children with diverse needs. Our award-winning technology connects speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, occupational therapists, and mental health specialists to K-12 school districts nationwide. With a growing network of over 2,000 clinicians and more than 8 million teletherapy sessions delivered, we’re dedicated to ensuring every child has access to the support they need.

At Presence, we embrace the benefits of being a remote-first company while recognizing the importance of in-person connection to advance our mission. We place a high value on “cameras on” engagement, schedule coordination, and cross-functional communication to stay connected while working in different places. Travel is also an important part of many roles, helping us build stronger relationships with our teams, clinicians, and school partners. The frequency will vary by role and responsibilities, but may include activities such as department offsites, team gatherings, and school or industry events.

About the role:

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Product and working closely with Product Design, Clinical Relations, Marketing, and Engineering, you'll own the platform experiences that let clinicians deliver and document special education services every day, and you'll play a key role in supporting our mission to deliver teletherapy solutions for children with diverse needs.

Roughly two-thirds of the current roadmap is net-new, AI-native capability, including an AI Copilot spanning report writing, documentation, session planning, and IEP writing. You'll shape what that capability becomes, partnering with designers, engineers, clinicians, and business stakeholders to reimagine how high-quality teletherapy gets delivered and documented.

This is a senior, cross-functional role: you'll own solution design and product definition, build deep fluency across the entire clinician lifecycle, and partner closely with business stakeholders on roadmap prioritization and go-to-market strategy, jointly accountable for outcomes. This role is perfect for someone who's comfortable owning ambiguity in a fast-moving, matrixed environment and wants hands-on experience shaping AI-native products from the ground up, all while contributing to a mission-driven organization that helps children with special needs.

To stay connected, all employees commit to being available on-camera during our Core Working Hours (Monday - Friday, 12 - 5 p.m. ET) with standard business hours of 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. in your local time zone. For this role, up to 10% travel may be required to help you connect in-person in a meaningful way.

What will you do at Presence:

  • Own product definition, solution design, user research, testing, and implementation of Platform Therapy Delivery experiences, an extensive resource Library, state and school district mandated Documentation & Report Writing, along with IEP Goals and Metrics tracking utilized by Clinicians across our SaaS and Service businesses.
  • Translate prioritized problems into AI-native product solutions, partnering with the product team and subject matter experts to pressure-test desirability, feasibility and viability before committing engineering resources.
  • Lead continuous discovery with Clinicians and school-side stakeholders, guiding a user-centered and data-informed point of view where the platform needs to adapt.
  • Build and validate prototypes with AI-assisted tools (Figma, Claude, or similar) as your default mode of testing ideas, adhering to FERPA, HIPAA, SOC2 Type2, and WCAG AA standards alongside responsible-use of AI features within your domain.
  • Navigate a SaaS-plus-service model, recognizing where Clinicians are manually bridging platform gaps and building to close them systematically.
  • Define, track, and communicate product success metrics, including indirect time reduction, clinician adoption & usage of platform features, therapy sessions completed within & out of grouped sessions.
  • Lead an interdisciplinary pod of designers, engineers, and clinical subject matter experts, operating as a trusted partner to Business Owner and thought partner to the VP of Product and other PMs.
  • Collaborate with business, marketing, product analytics, legal, sales, customer support, clinical, and operations team members on product release and go-to-market plans.
  • Advocate relentlessly for the Clinician’s E2E experience, making Presence the preferred platform for every stakeholder in the special education service delivery chain.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience: 8+ years of product management experience, with a track record of owning outcomes at the Senior PM level. Prior experience working in K-12/Special Education EdTech or HealthTech preferred.
  • Discovery & Research: shapes discovery standards rather than just running them, and uncovers needs providers can't articulate across a complex, multi-user ecosystem.
  • Solution Design & Product Definition: translates Business Owner-prioritized problems into rigorous product definitions, partnering with SMEs and the product team to get scope and design right.
  • Execution & Delivery: leads major cross-functional initiatives and ships complex, multi-stakeholder releases with accountability of impact.
  • User & Ecosystem Fluency: deep fluency across the clinical lifecycle; designs for external users and internal operators simultaneously within our SaaS + service model.
  • Commercial Acumen: fluent in PE-context metrics (EBITDA, NRR, Gross Margins, Opex); identifies opportunities to drive key business metrics.
  • Collaboration & Influence: an organizational thought leader who mentors others and shapes cross-functional ways of working.
  • AI Fluency & Tooling: proficient with AI prototyping tools, build-first by default; defines AI strategy and responsible-use standards for the domain.
  • Leadership & Ownership: a thought partner to the VP and the Business Owner who elevates the whole PM team's capability, not just their own product area.
  • Education: a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected. An MBA is a plus but not required.

What will help you succeed here:

  • You keep the people who rely on this pillar (SLPs, OTs, school psychologists, and Service Delivery Specialists) front and center in every decision you make
  • You're focused on outcomes and adoption, not just shipping features, and you know the difference between the two
  • You move comfortably between big-picture strategy and detailed execution, and you know which one a given moment calls for
  • You take ownership of getting things done, including the unglamorous parts, and you back up the people building alongside you
  • You lead with humility and warmth, and people want to build with you because of how you show up, not just what you know

How we support you:

  • Comprehensive benefit plans, including medical with a High Deductible Plan and generous HSA contribution, plus dental and vision coverage
  • In addition to 11 observed holidays, salaried team members have flexible paid time off and hourly team members accrue 15 days paid time off starting
  • 401K savings plan with a discretionary company match
  • $500 home office stipend
  • Benefits package including company-paid life insurance, AD&D, Employee Assistance Program, and disability benefits
  • Wellness programs with Headspace, Peloton and One Medical
  • Paid parental and caregiving leave
  • Professional Development opportunities - eligibility to apply for our scholarship program
  • Collaborative, inclusive, and fun culture that is recognized as Great Place to Work certified
  • Employee Resource Groups to promote shared community and belonging
  • A meaningful and fulfilling opportunity to join a mission-driven team and help thousands of students unlock their full potential through access to high-quality special education services
  • Opportunities to give back to your community, including volunteer time off and donation matching

An employee’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. We aim to pay competitively for our size and industry.

Salary ranges are:

NYC & San Francisco Bay Area: $150,000.00- $170,000.00
All other U.S. locations: $130,000.00-$160,000.00

Candidates based in Pacific or Central time zones are a plus for scheduling overlap, but this is not required to be considered for the role.

This job description is intended to outline the general scope, responsibilities, and qualifications of the role. It is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of all tasks, duties, or responsibilities that may be required. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time, with or without notice, to meet the evolving needs of Presence.

Presence is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
