About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic and execution-driven Senior Product Manager to lead the launch of Decentraland’s first VR and mobile clients.

Decentraland is an open protocol that can be accessed through multiple clients—the reference client is developed by the Decentraland Foundation, while these new implementations are community-funded and built with open-source technologies. In this role, you’ll be responsible for transforming the foundational work done by the protocol engineering team into polished, user-facing applications for mobile and VR, helping define the next generation of immersive experiences in Decentraland. As a PM, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery for these clients, from defining user stories and success metrics to coordinating cross-functional teams of developers, designers, and QA. This is a unique opportunity to define how users will engage with Decentraland beyond their computers.

As a fully remote position, we’re hiring candidates based between GMT -3 and GMT +1 (LATAM to Western Europe)

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the product roadmap for the VR and mobile clients, aligned with the broader vision of Decentraland.
  • Translate technical infrastructure and engine capabilities into accessible, engaging, and high-quality user experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and design to build, test, and iterate on features.
  • Own feature prioritization, sprint planning, and execution tracking using agile methodologies.
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback from the community to guide product decisions.
  • Establish and monitor product KPIs, including user retention, engagement, and feature adoption.
  • Ensure high standards of UX, performance, and scalability across platforms.
  • Act as the internal champion for immersive platforms within the organization.

What you'll bring to the role

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong track record shipping cross-platform applications (preferably including VR or mobile).
  • Deep understanding of product development cycles, agile methodologies, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience working with or managing 3D/real-time applications, game engines, or metaverse technologies.
  • Technical fluency—you can understand and communicate complex technical systems and constraints.
  • Proven ability to translate user needs into detailed product requirements and development plans.
  • Experience publishing applications on major app marketplaces, with an understanding of certification, submission, and release processes.
  • Passion for open metaverse ecosystems and immersive technologies.
  • Genuine interest in building with and for a community—you're excited to engage with users, creators, and stakeholders to shape the product vision.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

What we offer

  • A mission-driven organization shaping the future of open virtual worlds.
  • A fully remote team with flexible working hours across time zones.
  • Competitive compensation, including a long-term incentive plan denominated in MANA (Decentraland’s native token).
  • 29 days of paid time off per year, plus local public holidays.
  • Paid sick leave and parental leave.
  • High-impact role with ownership over a flagship product initiative.
  • Opportunity to work on a community-owned, open-source platform with global reach.
