Who we are:

Alignable is the largest online network of small business owners in North America, with over 10 million members. Our mission is to help entrepreneurs turn their relationships into a growth engine for their business.
We're embarking on an exciting new chapter: transforming Alignable into the first relationship intelligence platform purpose-built for SMBs. Our vision is to become the system of record for SMB relationship data, using AI to help our members unlock new customers and opportunities through trusted referrals and warm introductions.
At the center of this vision is our AI Networking Coach: an intelligent recommendation engine that continuously analyzes a member’s network and activity to surface the most valuable connections and actions. By turning relationships into actionable insights, Alignable empowers business owners to unlock the full potential of their professional networks and grow their businesses with confidence.
If you're excited about the opportunity to shape the future of AI-powered products for millions of small businesses, we would love to hear from you.

Why this role matters:

As a Senior Product Manager at Alignable, you will be at the forefront of our AI transformation. Your work will shape how millions of small business owners leverage AI to connect, build relationships, and grow their businesses in the digital age.

We are looking for a PM who has already been hands-on in leveraging AI to build innovative products. Not someone who has directed others to build, but someone who personally gets their hands dirty and ships working things. You have used tools like LLMs and code generation in your product work, and you likely have something you built or prototyped in the last 90 days that you could pull up right now without any preparation. If you have to think hard about what that would be, this role is probably not the right fit at this stage. If you already know exactly what you would show us, we would love to talk.

In close collaboration with Product Design, Engineering, Data, and Growth Marketing you will focus on infusing AI across our core offerings, from smart networking recommendations to conversational coaches to generative content creation. Your goal is to harness AI to deepen member engagement, satisfaction, and business growth.

What you will do:

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-driven product initiatives in partnership with Product Design, Engineering, Data, and Growth Marketing
  • Develop and launch AI-powered features in areas like intelligent recommendations, conversational AI, and content generation
  • Collaborate with Product Design to craft intuitive, engaging user experiences that seamlessly integrate AI
  • Partner with Data Science to productize AI/ML models using our stack (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
  • Leverage LLMs, code generation, and emerging AI technologies to rapidly prototype and launch new capabilities
  • Design experiments and interpret data to quantify the impact of AI products and drive iteration
  • Influence key stakeholders across Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to align on AI priorities
  • Evangelize AI best practices and contribute to thought leadership
  • Champion responsible AI practices around transparency, fairness, privacy, and ethics

What success looks like:

  • Regularly ships working prototypes and tools independently, not just directs others to build them
  • Successful launch of AI-powered products that demonstrably improve engagement, revenue, and other key metrics
  • Seamless integration of AI into core platform experiences
  • Productive relationships with technical and non-technical partners
  • Tangible contributions to Alignable's evolution into an AI-first organization
  • Emerging thought leadership in AI product development for SMBs

What you will bring:

  • A portfolio of things you have personally built. Prototypes, tools, demos, or shipped features you can show, not just describe, with at least one example from the last 90 days
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with 2+ years building AI/ML-driven products preferred
  • Hands-on experience leveraging LLMs, code generation, and productizing ML models
  • Understanding of the evolving AI/ML landscape and its implications for product development
  • Track record of launching successful 0-to-1 products
  • Strong technical fluency and ability to partner effectively with AI/ML and Engineering teams
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with experiment-driven product development
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with ambiguity
  • Passion for helping small businesses succeed through technology

Why you’ll love Alignable:

  • Impact & Mission: Help millions of small businesses grow through trusted relationships while owning a pivotal moment in Alignable’s evolution toward AI-powered, product-led sales.
  • Team & Environment: Partner with a founder-led, cross-functional leadership team with deep experience in SMB, SaaS, and growth-driven businesses.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary, meaningful equity, flexible work, comprehensive benefits, and long-term ownership upside.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: We celebrate diverse perspectives and believe they create stronger businesses and better outcomes.

Alignable is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all applicants from every background and life experience without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
