The Tenant Scale team works to ensure that GitLab is able to scale effectively to meet the wide range of customer needs. We aim to ensure that teams of all sizes can collaborate effectively, by organizing their repositories, discussions, and resources appropriately to meet their varying needs. We aim to partner with our customers, providing them the means to seamless transition to the correct deployment methodology (GitLab SaaS and GitLab self-managed) and at the correct scale.

In this role, you’ll lead the product strategy around our Organizational framework by deeply understanding our customer needs and clearly articulating the user journeys that Organizations aim to solve. You’ll collaborate closely with a team of product managers and engineering leaders to ensure we can deliver features which provide value for our customers as well as meet the strategic initiatives of the broader team at GitLab.

What You’ll Do  

  • Drive product strategy and execution planning for delivering the Organizations experience to our customers
  • Balance strategic infrastructure scalability needs with the needs of the customer. 
  • Work closely with our engineering team to help align around schedule, complexity and scalability concerns
  • Collaborate with our marketing team to drive go to market activities to ensure our customers can accelerate value realization
  • Listen to our customers and create clear, detailed product specifications and user stories that bring customer needs to life
  • Author and track progress around quarterly objectives related to Organizations

What You’ll Bring 

  • 5+ years of product management experience, with demonstrable expertise in product deployment methodologies and enterprise scalability
  • Experience with SaaS product infrastructure 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Strong understanding of enterprise business organizations, including regionality requirements and international collaboration challenges
  • Track record of successfully delivering features that balance customer experiences with business objectives
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and stakeholder management experience
  • Data-driven decision making with the ability to translate customer needs and broad problem areas into actionable product requirements
  • Experience working in a globally distributed team environment 
  • Experience with Git based development platforms is a plus

About the team

The Tenant Scale Team operates within the Infrastructure Platforms Team to deliver scalable and fault-tolerant architectures for the GitLab product. Our goal is to build a seamless experience for our customers as we partner with them to build their business success. Our work directly impacts our ability to deliver a consistent user experience that scales as GitLab grows.

The Infrastructure Platforms team is a globally distributed team with members around the world. You’ll be joining a diverse and collaborative group to deliver the best experience for our worldwide customer base. 

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
