Role overview
CarGurus is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Sourcing Intelligence to join our growing Dealer Product team, where you will be part of a group that is building innovative tools to solve one of auto dealers' biggest problems: quickly, confidently, and profitably acquiring used vehicles for their inventory. In this role you will lead development of new insight and intelligence products that empower auto dealers to easily make highly informed, consistently profitable decisions throughout their sourcing and buying process.
You'll work cross-functionally, collaborating with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Product Data Analytics, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to define & deliver against an ambitious, innovative product strategy. You'll interface closely with dealers and internal stakeholders to understand our customers and their problems, validate hypotheses and product opportunities, and then collaborate to prioritize and execute against the opportunities you uncover in ways that solve dealer problems and grow the CarGurus business. You'll take ownership of your outcomes, and communicate both our wins and challenges effectively throughout the organization and to leadership.
If you are a high-ownership strategic thinker who is excited about creating intuitive, powerful intelligence products for dealers we'd love to hear from you!
What you'll do
  • Own the roadmap and strategy for acquisition intelligence at CarGurus, ensuring alignment with business goals, dealer needs, and broader initiatives.
  • Become the go-to expert at CarGurus on how dealers make sourcing, stocking, and other acquisition decisions - and how they should in the future.
  • Guide cross-functional teams through rapid end-to-end cycles of ideation, design, development, launch, and optimization of innovative products and high-impact features.
  • Distill and decompose complex problems and business opportunities into product requirements and priorities, enabling clarity, focus, and iterative delivery and learning.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Product Data Analytics teams to develop rich, reliable data sets and predictive insights, then translate them into intuitive product experiences.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and other GTM stakeholders to launch, grow adoption of, and support new revenue-driving products and features.
  • Create frequent opportunities to learn from dealers; through feedback on live software, usability studies, market analysis, and engagement with internal expertise.
  • Continually analyze the impact of your teams' work on dealers and on the CarGurus business. Use data to inform and advance the success of our products.

What you'll bring
  • 5+ years of experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments working collaboratively with engineering, design, and analytics teams.
  • Previous experience launching and managing B2B products in high-ownership environments.
  • Highly curious, with the desire to learn rapidly, adapt quickly, and continuously improve.
  • A proven ownership mindset paired with the drive to lead a product area to success.
  • Demonstrated customer empathy with the ability to quickly understand a problem space.
  • Systems thinker who is comfortable creatively solving problems in unstructured, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams
  • The ability to effectively collaborate and partner with internal teams and interface directly with our dealer customers
  • Analytical, with a high level of data fluency.
