Senior Product Manager - Product-Led Growth (PLG + AI-aware)

Title: Senior Product Manager - Product-Led Growth (PLG + AI-aware)
Location: Remote / Hybrid (US) - flexible
Reports to: Sr. Director of Product Management

About Quickbase
At Quickbase, we’re on a mission to end a universal problem: Gray Work. The ad-hoc, manual work we do looking for documents, resources, etc. when technology isn’t working for us—that’s Gray Work, and it negatively impacts productivity, employee well-being and a company’s bottom line. Quickbase’s platform for Dynamic Work Management (the first ever) empowers nearly 12,000 organizations like Consigli, Suffolk, Valvoline, Daifuku and more to take on Gray Work by bringing people, processes, and data together into one central location, so employees can stop chasing information across systems and focus on work that makes an impact.

Our product is an AI-powered platform that helps businesses connect scattered data, automate unique processes, and scale what makes them competitive. Instead of forcing you to change how you work to fit a rigid system, Quickbase adapts to your workflows—so you can eliminate manual workarounds, reduce errors, and get real-time visibility across your operations.

The role (why we are hiring)
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to accelerate our Product-Led Growth motion and help define an AI-aware experience within our builder. You will partner closely with Growth/Marketing, Customer Success, UX, and Engineering teams to design and deliver self-serve experiences that increase acquisition, activation, and expansion, while ensuring any AI capabilities we surface in trial/onboarding experiences are useful, safe, and measurable.

What you will do (key responsibilities)

  • Own and execute a comprehensive PLG strategy across acquisition, activation, retention, and expansion. Define north-star and funnel metrics (for example, TTFV, activation, PQL, trial to paid conversion, expansion ARR).
  • Design, run, and learn from rapid growth experiments (A/B, multi-variant tests, holdouts) to optimize onboarding, product flows, pricing experiments, and trial/upgrade moments. Instrument hypotheses end-to-end and own metrics and analysis.
  • Identify pragmatic AI-enabled product opportunities for the trial and onboarding experience, for example AI-guided templates, contextual recommendations, and in-product suggestions that reduce time-to-first-value. Stay current on AI and LLM trends and evaluate how new capabilities could improve trial-to-value.
  • Partner with Data Science, Labs, and ML teams to prototype and evaluate AI-driven UX concepts. You will define product requirements, success criteria, rollout plans, and metrics for in-product AI experiences, but not perform model evaluations or operate model infrastructure.
  • Partner deeply with Growth/Marketing and Customer Success to align acquisition tactics, messaging, lifecycle campaigns, in-product nudges, and in-app education that convert and retain users.
  • Set the roadmap and write clear product requirements; prioritize ruthlessly to maximize time-to-value and monetization. Be accountable for the business performance of your product scope, including KPIs and OKRs.
  • Work with UX and research to deeply understand user workflows and reduce friction to first value. Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into product decisions.
  • Ensure AI-related product rollouts consider privacy, compliance, and user trust by engaging Legal, Security, and Governance stakeholders as needed.

What success looks like

  • Clear, repeatable PLG funnel with measurable improvements in activation and trial-to-paid conversion.
  • AI-enabled experiences in trial and onboarding that reduce time-to-value and increase engagement, delivered in partnership with ML teams.
  • A healthy experimentation culture and telemetry that enables fast, data-driven decisions.
  • Smooth, measurable handoff and alignment with GTM teams that leads to predictable revenue expansion.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5 to 10 years product management experience in SaaS, with 3 or more years owning product features that delivered measurable business outcomes.
  • Hands-on PLG experience: designing trial and onboarding funnels, defining product conversion metrics, running experiments, and working with Growth/Marketing to drive acquisition and expansion.
  • Strong analytics ability and comfort with SQL and product analytics tools such as Looker, Amplitude, Pendo, or Mixpanel, and translating data into decisions.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to influence engineering, design, GTM teams, and executives.
  • Proven bias for action and a track record of shipping outcomes quickly and iterating based on data.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with AI and ML product concepts such as LLMs, embeddings, prompt patterns, and recommendations, and experience partnering with ML and DS teams to define product requirements for AI features. Note: you will not be responsible for model evaluation or MLOps.
  • Experience in low-code or no-code enterprise platform products.
  • Experience working with enterprise governance, security, or compliance stakeholders, which is helpful when shipping AI features at scale.
  • Experience building commercial business cases, pricing experiments, and working with finance and GTM teams to measure monetization.

Professional traits / how you work

  • Customer-obsessed: you use research and data to deeply understand the customer problem.
  • Experimenter: you design careful experiments, instrument them well, and learn quickly.
  • Product-led thinker: you are fluent in PLG signals and know how product changes translate into funnel improvements.
  • High EQ and collaborator: you build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Pragmatic operator: you balance speed and craft, shipping products that drive outcomes.

Why Quickbase

You will join a product team that is integrating enterprise-grade platform capabilities with an AI-aware vision, and doing it in a PLG way that creates massive leverage for customers. You will work cross-functionally, own measurable outcomes, and have the opportunity to directly influence our product strategy and growth.

At Quickbase, we believe in pay transparency and are committed to equitable pay practices. The compensation range for this role is $104,000 – $164,000 per year. The exact compensation offered will be based on experience, skills, and alignment with internal equity. Beyond salary, employees receive bonus/commission eligibility and access to a full benefits package including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, etc.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
