Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Platform team — the group that builds and scales the technical backbone of Recharge. This team owns critical infrastructure that powers our merchants’ businesses, including,

  • Payments: Payment gateway integrations, recurring charge processing, and AI-based failed payment recovery
  • Product catalog: A singular interface that the rest of our app uses to search for and work with product data
  • Eventing architecture: A pub/sub-based event framework that powers internal events as well as external webhooks

You’ll be instrumental in defining and evolving the products that support the scale and reliability of our platform. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on technical challenges, loves cross-functional collaboration, and is motivated by building systems that directly affect revenue and customer experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Product Roadmap Development: Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Recharge’s core platform
  • Customer focus: Own and optimize the experience and outcomes for recurring charge processing, payment retries, and the product catalog with a strong focus on real-world problems our merchants face.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer success teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of product initiatives.
  • Product Delivery: Drive and deliver product features through the entire product lifecycle: ideation, specification, development, release, analysis, and iteration
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product strategy, progress, and outcomes to executive leadership and key stakeholders. Provide regular updates on product performance and key metrics.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis: Leverage data and customer insights to continuously refine product features and prioritize technical investments

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in a fast-paced, high-growth B2B SaaS
  • Experience working on complex technical products with cross-functional teams
  • Comfort diving into APIs, events, and payment flows — you speak “engineer” fluently
  • Strong analytical skills — you use data to drive decisions and measure success
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to ruthlessly prioritize in a fast-moving, remote-first environment
  • Ability to work remotely and desire to make an impact in a highly visible role
  • Willing to travel 4-6 times a year for in person working sessions and merchant meetings

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
