Role Description

We want to hear from people who…

  • Have a passion for making elegant consumer social and eCommerce product experiences

  • Enjoy running A/B tests and experiments to optimize yield of high volume consumer payments experiences.

  • Are highly analytical and can translate strategic insights into measurable business impact.

  • Find scouring data for insights deeply satisfying.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product roadmap for Donor Experience at Givebutter, which comprises our donation flows (consumer payments), campaign & donation sharing, fundraising campaign discovery, donor portal, donor profile, and donor onboarding.

  • Partner with the CPTO to define the product strategy for Donor Experience.

  • Ensure the donation experience is tastefully designed, delightful, and integrates best-in-class design practices from consumer eCommerce applications.

  • Integrate and optimize new payment methods into the Givebutter donation experience such as CashApp, international currency donations, and Stablecoin payments.

  • Relentlessly test and optimize our donation experience to maximize donations to nonprofits raising on Givebutter.

  • Analyze data and customer research to develop product experiences and experiments that improve donor lifetime value.

  • Lead experiments and new features from ideation to deployment, ensuring they deliver meaningful business impact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally managing payments and conversion flows in a high-scale B2C eCommerce or SaaS product selling to millions of consumers every year.

  • A strong point-of-view on what makes for well-designed consumer product experiences and an eye for the little flourishes like typefaces and animations that make a difference.

  • Deep understanding of eCommerce unit economics and yield optimization techniques, including conversion rate optimization, cohort analysis, and customer lifetime value. Familiarity with machine learning optimization approaches is a huge plus.

  • Data fluency, comfortable with SQL and spreadsheets.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking; able to connect product, marketing, and business objectives through data-driven decision-making.

  • Experimentation mindset with experience running A/B tests, pricing tests, and interpreting results.

Interview Process

Below is a high-level outline of our standard interview process

  1. Recruiter Screen: A 30-minute conversation to learn more about your background, walk through the role, and ensure mutual alignment on expectations, values, and logistics.

  2. Hiring Manager Interview: A deeper dive into your relevant experience, skillset, and working style. This is your first opportunity to connect directly with the person who may be your future manager.

  3. Assessment (technical or non-technical): This stage will vary based on the role. It could involve a live coding session, case study, or take-home project. Some roles may include two parts to this stage to evaluate both practical skills and problem-solving approaches

  4. Values Interview: A conversation with team members focused on how you align with our core values and leadership principles.

  5. References: We connect with a few folks you’ve worked closely with to get a better picture of your working style and impact.

  6. Offer: If all goes well, we’ll move to the offer stage!
