About the Role:

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager I to join our Internal Access Management team working on a high-impact, high-priority mission to reinvent the way we secure internal access and remain compliant with regulatory obligations like SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley).

HubSpot is on a mission to help millions of organizations grow better, and that starts with how we operate internally. Our ability to solve for our customers depends on how effectively we work. That’s where internal access management comes in — it gives HubSpotters the tools and permissions they need to build, ship, and support amazing products and services.

And because we’re a publicly traded company, SOX compliance is a big deal. In fact, access management and SOX go together like peanut butter and jelly — you really can’t have one without the other, and as the SPM in this space, you’ll be in “control” of our controls.

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Define and execute the product vision and strategy for HubSpot’s internal access management platform as a critical member of the Product Triad - our system for building product collaboratively and strategically
  • Drive alignment, set goals, build understanding, and motivate others, including cross-functional partners across the company
  • Explore complex and ambiguous problems, taking on several missions across your product group
  • Guide new product ideas from initial concept all the way through launch
  • Understand our internal customers and their journey with our tools and platform  by engaging with them directly and often
  • Use data to identify opportunities to improve our internal experience and controls, devise a strategy to execute your ideas, and partner with business stakeholders across HubSpot to make solutions that help our organization grow

We are looking for people who have:

  • Experience launching internal and external products successfully to customers
  • A multidisciplinary approach to thinking, combining market, business, and technical insights to identify opportunities and weigh tradeoffs
  • The ability to articulate product vision to a variety of audiences
  • Experience partnering closely with compliance and engineering teams on a regular basis
  • Experience developing features or tools for engineers as your customers
  • A deep respect for the expertise and insights of their collaborators, including engineering, design, UX research, analytics, and others
  • A drive to understand customer needs deeply and truly solving for their problems
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal problem-solving skills
  • A passion for growing healthy teams and leaders, cultivating psychological safety, and facilitating tough conversations that help people grow
  • A desire to understand how HubSpot products work
  • The ability to make decisions, test assumptions, and iterate - often without perfect information
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • An understanding of the competitive software space

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
