About Us

At Slingshot Aerospace we build mission-critical solutions to revolutionize the space and defense industries by making space operations smarter and safer through world-class data analytics and AI decision intelligence. We believe that truly understanding our users—how they think, what they need, and what gets in their way—is core to delivering exceptional products. We’re a team of bold thinkers, technical innovators, and customer-centered collaborators. We’re looking for a User Experience Researcher who shares our belief in user-centered design, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous learning to help shape the future of space operations technology.

What You’ll Do

The Senior Product Manager – Growth & Pricing Strategy is a customer- and revenue-focused IC role responsible for optimizing the pricing, packaging, and activation of Slingshot’s data, AI and hardware products. This role drives the intersection of user adoption, monetization, and value delivery—working across product, growth, sales, and customer success teams.

You will shape pricing models, usage frameworks, trial and conversion strategies, and onboarding flows that influence user growth and product-market fit. We’re looking for a strategic operator who blends data fluency with business instinct to design sustainable pricing strategies and frictionless entry points for new users.

Slingshot Aerospace cares deeply about our commitment to company values, mission, and purpose. The core competencies we will be looking to identify include: intellectual agility, ability to develop innovative solutions, leadership, performance-orientation, and industry expertise.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Pricing Model Design

  • Own pricing and packaging strategy across products and tiers—aligning with customer segments, usage behaviors, and revenue goals.
  • Design and iterate on usage-based pricing, feature bundling, trial experiences, and freemium strategies.
  • Leverage capability auditing and market research to identify the highest-impact capability areas for business growth and revenue generation.
  • Analyze competitor pricing, buyer behavior, and conversion funnels to drive recommendations. Activation, Adoption & Monetization
  • Define the onboarding experience, free-to-paid upgrade paths, and usage thresholds that drive long-term retention and revenue.
  • Collaborate with product managers, design and engineering to deliver self-service flows and pricing transparency in-product.
  • Identify high-leverage moments for upsell, education, or self-service expansion within the product lifecycle.
  • Own the GTM documentation hub and lead the delivery of GTM assets, including one-pagers, sales guides, and partner documentation.

Validation & Success Metrics

  • Define success metrics for growth and pricing experiments (conversion, CAC, LTV, churn, expansion, etc.).
  • Partner with design, research and analytics to run A/B tests, survey users, and analyze pricing impact across segments.
  • Use cohort analysis, segmentation, and pricing elasticity modeling to inform roadmap decisions.

Cross-functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Work closely with marketing, revenue, design, research and GTM stakeholders to align pricing with customer positioning and sales enablement.
  • Enable customer-facing teams with clear pricing rationale, onboarding strategies, and objection handling insights.
  • Serve as the product owner for growth systems, billing experiences, and customer eligibility frameworks.

Pre-Requisites

  • Must be eligible to obtain or maintain US Government Security Clearance, preference given for active TS Clearance.

Minimum Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in product management, growth, pricing strategy, and/or product marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with experimentation, modeling, and financial metrics.
  • Demonstrated success launching pricing strategies, growth experiments, or freemium business models.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional influence.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in SaaS, usage-based pricing, hardware pricing and B2B product-led growth.
  • Prior exposure to data products, developer platforms, imagery hardware, or mission-critical software.
  • Familiarity with financial modeling, CRM/billing platforms (e.g., Stripe, Salesforce), and user segmentation tools.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
