Senior Product Manager, Developer Product Group

HubSpot has been investing heavily in the future of our developer platform — and we’re just getting started. As a critical pillar of HubSpot’s AI-native future, the HubSpot Developer Platform accelerates our customers’ growth through a rich and comprehensive ecosystem of HubSpot applications.

As a Senior Product Manager for our API Platform team, you’ll be at the forefront of enabling AI-native development on HubSpot. You’ll play a key part in accelerating HubSpot’s public API capabilities, ensuring high quality developer experiences atop our API, and innovating in emerging API protocols such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A).

This is a fast-paced, high-impact role ideal for a product leader with deep technical intuition, a platform mindset, and a passion for empowering developers.

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Create a shared vision and cohesive roadmap for the future of this product area as a critical member of the Product Triad - our cross-functional leadership model that brings together Product Management, Engineering, and UX Design to build products collaboratively and strategically
  • Drive alignment, set goals, build understanding and motivate others, including cross-functional partners across the company
  • Guide new product ideas from initial concept all the way through launch
  • Understand our customers and their journey through the product by engaging with them directly and often
  • Use data to identify opportunities to improve our customers’ experience, devise strategy to execute your ideas, and partner with business stakeholders across HubSpot to make solutions that help our customers grow
  • Influence the rest of the HubSpot product org to match API design to priority developer and customer use cases

We are looking for people who have:

  • Proven success launching technical products to customers - especially developer platform, API platform, or developer tool products. Specific experience with API design is a strong plus.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to deeply engage on topics such as APIs and stay current on emerging industry standards and protocols.
  • Empathy for developers, demonstrated by a track record of building for developer users — understanding their workflows, pain points, and success metrics.
  • A history of delivering measurable impact through APIs, and has driven pricing and packaging updates based on APIs and API utilization.
  • Ability to influence multiple teams on a shared goal, drive consistency and adoption of standards
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • A drive to understand customer needs deeply and truly solving for their problems
  • A passion for growing healthy teams and leaders, cultivating psychological safety, and facilitating tough conversations that help people grow
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal problem-solving skills
  • The ability to make decisions, test assumptions, and iterate - often without perfect information

As a member of the Product Management org at HubSpot you’ll:

  • Join a product-led culture that truly puts the customer first
  • Create and advance an ambitious product strategy that’s driven by customer needs, business goals, powerful data, and global market indicators
  • Partner closely with colleagues in UX and Engineering to create a high-value product that’s both powerful and easy to use
  • Use your voice, share your perspective, and have a real impact based on your point of view
  • Know what will lead to getting promoted, and why, thanks to clear expectations and robust career paths
  • Be empowered to show up as your authentic self and choose a work style and location where you can do your best work, whether that’s at home, in an office, or a blend of the two.

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
