WHAT YOU’LL DO

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager for Braze’s Core Messaging team to lead the development of products focused on guaranteed message delivery speeds.

The Core Messaging (CM) Team is responsible for Braze’s message sending pipeline and delivery controls, which enables marketers to reliably send messages to end-users at scale. Braze collects hundreds of billions of data points each month and sends billions of messages to end-users daily. Ensuring reliable delivery with strong controls is a must.

As a PM on the team, your initial focus will be to build out Braze’s Service-Level Agreement-backed transactional messaging product suite. This will require you to work closely with go-to-market teams to understand the opportunities available to us in this space, and work with Engineering and Design to build the product/s that enable us to capture this market. This role also involves close collaboration with other Braze product teams to develop messaging channel-specific product enhancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and own the product roadmap and strategy for your product area
  • Work closely with engineers and product designers to bring new products and features to life
  • Immerse yourself in understanding our customers, market trends, and the technology landscape
  • Stay abreast of our evolving product offerings and work with teams to improve our product accordingly
  • Collaborate with user experience researchers to help identify future product opportunities
  • Ensure the continued quality and stability of your product to retain customer trust

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience
  • Familiarity with performance metrics, service-level agreement concepts, and RESTful APIs
  • Ability to analyze data and metrics to inform product decisions and measure success
  • A genuine interest in technology and innovation in the messaging and customer engagement space
  • A proactive, positive, can-do attitude. You drive projects to completion excellently, and are always looking for new ways that processes and products can be improved
  • Ability to work within a cross-functional team and balance multiple projects at once
  • Eagerness to learn and grow
  • Bonus Points:
    • Experience at a B2B SaaS company
    • Experience with product offerings that include SLAs
    • Marketing industry experience or subject matter expertise

For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $140,400 and $222,075/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $156,000 and $246,750/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part-time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
