Senior Product Designer
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to help us shape the future of AllTrails! This person will be part of a tight-knit and talented product design team, reporting into a Design Director. You’ll work closely with product management, research, engineering, and marketing to imagine and deliver innovative products that elevate users’ outdoor experiences. In this role you’ll have the opportunity to impact different product surfaces from trail discovery to growth through high craft and taste in visual design, interaction and interface design, and prototyping. We’re looking forward to working together to create intuitive and beautiful experiences for AllTrails so that people can connect more deeply with the outdoors.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Help lead the creation of a best-in-class product & brand in collaboration with design, product management, research, content, data, and engineering teammates
- Bring a high-level craft across visual design, interaction, interface design, and prototyping to define, design and ship meaningful work on web, iOS and Android
- Work independently on end to end experiences conducting research, defining scope, being an advocate for user needs while effectively managing your time and priorities
- Work across different product surfaces from trail discovery, navigation and growth projects
- Leverage, contribute to, and help evolve our design system
- Contribute to the culture and craft of a tight-knit design team through proactive partnership and feedback
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of product design experience on consumer facing iOS, Android, and web products
- Exceptional design craft across UX, visual design, and interaction with strong product sensibility
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with PM and Engineering teams while independently executing end-to-end design work
- Data-driven approach using research, metrics, and usability testing to inform design decisions and project prioritization
- Experience with inclusive design practices (international, accessibility, multi-language)
- Self-motivated, open minded team player who seeks feedback early and often, with a humble and empathetic working style
- Passion for helping people find their way outside
- AI Native: You naturally incorporate AI tools to enhance your work. You’re comfortable writing prompts, evaluating AI outputs, and enjoy experimenting with new ways to boost creativity, productivity, and decision-making
