Jellyfish is looking for a talented Senior Product Designer - Platform to help craft world-class experiences for our largest customers. As we continue to expand our user base, the demand for robust administration tools, user management, and platform configuration is paramount. We're seeking a designer who can help define our overarching platform vision and translate complex requirements into intuitive, scalable solutions that empower our customers.

Let's talk about what you'll do:
  • Help build, deliver, and refine clear strategy and storytelling around platform needs and opportunities

  • Play a major role in product decision-making, working directly with customers and leadership across the organization

  • Rally and inspire the team to deliver experiences that live up to your high standards

  • Analyze and document enterprise-tier customer needs through quantitative data analysis, building relationships with customer support, and conducting user interviews with engineering leaders

  • Develop generalizable solutions that address the convoluted structures of our enterprise customers while maintaining a high degree of usability and customer ownership

  • Lead collaboration efforts with other product teams to execute on platform-wide initiatives

  • Build lasting and effective relationships with our Support and Sales Engineering teams in order to work together to solve and prevent customer problems

Let’s talk about what you need to excel:
  • 6+ years of experience working as a product-focused digital designer

  • Experience with platform-level system thinking, understanding and designing for complex interconnected systems and their dependencies

  • An eye for high-quality, well-crafted visual and interaction design, and a passion for UI details

  • Experience working directly with customers to inform design decisions through research, testing, and conversation

  • Proficiency in data visualization and insights

  • Proficiency in prototyping your ideas to help articulate nuanced design decisions

  • Experience handling comprehensive projects with overlapping organizational lines

  • Ability to communicate your ideas and decisions to a variety of stakeholders

  • Energized by simplifying complexity and bringing elegance to everyday user tasks

It's not required, but bonus points for:
  • Experience with software engineering and the processes and practices associated with it

  • Experience in a high-growth B2B SaaS environment, especially enterprise-focused products

  • A generative spirit, and excitement for coming up with novel, simple solutions

  • A good understanding of backend infrastructure, and/or experience working in-depth with backend engineers

A list of job experiences and qualification requirements is great, but humility, a performance-driven attitude, and a team-player approach are most important to us. We love to have fun and win in the process. We only hire people who have a passion for building great companies in an environment where a sense of humor is a must.

Occasional travel may be required.

Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Let’s talk about us!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
