  • We're well-resourced, and we've raised $85.5M from world-class investors, including Accel and Insight Partners.

  • We recently moved into an amazing new office in Flatiron, Manhattan, NYC.

  • We were recently named a top 10 best place to work in NYC by Crain's.

Despite our growth and scale, we're still just getting started. That's where you come in.

About the role

Radar is looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead product design across our location platform. You’ll own the design of the dashboard and product experiences that developers and technical teams rely on, from geofencing and maps to fraud prevention and location intelligence.

As our sole Senior Product Designer, you’ll have significant ownership and influence over what we build and how we build it. You’ll turn complex technical problems into simple, intuitive experiences, evolve our design system, and help shape the product and design culture at Radar.

You'll report to our Vice President of Design, Brand and Product, and be based in our Flatiron (NYC) headquarters. We work from the office Monday through Thursday, with flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

How we work

Brand and Product Design intersect at Radar. As our sole Senior Product Designer, you’ll work closely with our Brand Design team and have an impact across the business, from product to go-to-market.

Designers at Radar are equal parts strategic thinkers and hands-on craftspeople. We learn and communicate by doing, through whiteboarding, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, design mocks, and increasingly, code. Our workflow includes Claude, Cursor, and other AI tools to prototype quickly and push production-ready code. We sweat the details, share work early, and actively seek feedback from teammates and leadership.

We move fast and learn directly from customers rather than relying on long, formal research cycles. While we primarily communicate in Slack, working together in our NYC HQ helps us ideate, make decisions, and ship quickly. We bring simplicity to complex design problems and iterate quickly without compromising on quality.

What you’ll do

  • Lead design for Radar’s dashboard and product experiences across our location platform, from geofencing and maps to fraud prevention and location intelligence

  • Partner closely with our CEO, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering teams to turn customer needs and complex technical requirements into simple, thoughtful product experiences

  • Own the design process from early concepts and user flows through polished UI, prototypes, and production-ready designs

  • Use Claude, Cursor, and other AI tools to prototype quickly and push production-ready code

  • Develop and evolve Radar’s product design system, processes, and best practices as we scale

  • Learn directly from customers and go-to-market teams, bringing real-world feedback into product decisions and ongoing improvements

  • Advocate for design across the company, identifying opportunities to simplify the product and raise the quality of the overall user experience

Who you are

  • 5+ years of product design experience at a product-driven technology company

  • Strong UI, UX, and visual design craft, with excellent product instincts and attention to detail

  • Highly proficient in Figma and experienced with Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI tools for prototyping and design

  • Strong product thinker who can turn complex technical, customer, and business needs into simple, thoughtful experiences

  • Comfortable owning the design process end-to-end, from early concepts and user flows through polished, production-ready designs

  • Excellent communicator who can articulate design decisions, seek feedback, and influence cross-functional teams

  • Experience designing developer-focused or technical products is a strong plus.

Portfolio required: Your portfolio should showcase multiple shipped digital products, including complex dashboard experiences, and demonstrate strong UI/UX, product thinking, and visual design sensibility across typography, color, and layout. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.

Who you’ll work with

  • Audrey Na, VP of Design, Brand and Product

  • Nick Patrick, Co-Founder and CEO

  • Tim Julien, CTO

  • Alan Charles, Engineering Manager

  • Lily Zalla, VP of Customer Success

  • Skylar Scafidi, Brand Design Lead

  • Our PMs, Engineering, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering teams!

What we offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Meaningful stock options in a fast-growing company

  • 401(k) plan with 4% match

  • New HQ in Flatiron, NYC

  • Top-notch equipment

  • Catered lunches

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance with 100% coverage for employees

  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
