Level Access is a leader in digital accessibility, dedicated to creating inclusive digital experiences for everyone. We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Product Research and Design team and help shape the future of user experience across our accessibility technology products.
Role Overview:As a Senior Product Designer, you will lead design for complex product areas and drive clarity in ambiguous problem spaces. You will shape end‑to‑end experience strategy, elevate quality across the product, and influence cross‑functional decision-making. You will guide other designers, provide thought leadership on design best practices, and ensure our solutions are intuitive, scalable, and aligned with product outcomes and business impact.
Responsibilities:- Design accessible, intuitive user experiences that meet high standards for usability and inclusivity.
- Own end‑to‑end design for complex, multi‑layered product areas with significant cross‑team impact.
- Drive the creation, evolution, and governance of design systems that scale across products and teams.
- Conduct generative and evaluative research to identify unmet needs and shape product direction.
- Develop and articulate long‑term design strategies that influence product lifecycle and business outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior designers, providing guidance on craft, process, and problem‑solving.
- 5+ years of product design experience, including complex end‑to‑end product development and system design.
- Proven ability to use data and research to guide design decisions, connect insights to business goals, and influence stakeholders.
- Strong competency in design system creation, evolution, and governance.
- Expertise in discovery, problem framing, and solution definition within ambiguous spaces.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Demonstrated leadership, initiative, and adaptability.
- Strong working knowledge of UX research methods and ability to translate insights into strategy
- Lead design reviews, planning sessions, and cross‑functional discussions with clarity and influence.
- Partner with product, engineering, and research teams to define vision, requirements, and strategic direction.
- Bring industry insights, emerging trends, and best practices that strengthen the design discipline.
- Navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across teams by simplifying complexity into actionable decisions.
- AI-curious and adaptable to emerging industry trends.
- Experience in content design.
- Deep expertise in design principles, usability, and digital accessibility standards
