Role Summary
As a Senior Product Designer (Mobile) at DroneDeploy, you’ll shape the next generation of our mobile apps. You will shape intuitive, impactful experiences for our industry-leading platform, ensuring every feature meets user needs and advances DroneDeploy’s mission to deliver scalable, intelligent, and automated reality-capture solutions. Your work will help customers in construction, energy, agriculture, and beyond achieve their goals more efficiently. This role reports to the Director of Design.

Work Environment
> Work Hours: Standard working hours are 9 AM to 6PM, with flexibility to accommodate different schedules.
> Work Model: 100% remote, but the candidate must be based in the U.S.
> Work Travel: This role includes travel to customer sites across Texas approximately 2–3 days per month and occasional domestic travel for company events or team gatherings.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the full design lifecycle, from user research and prototyping to final design implementation.
- Develop and maintain design systems that ensure consistency and scalability across DroneDeploy’s platform.
- Apply customer-centric frameworks such as Jobs to Be Done (JTBD) to create designs that deeply resonate with user needs and drive business goals.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and customer success, to align designs with business objectives and resource constraints.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on real-world feedback to continuously enhance the user experience.
- Present and articulate design decisions and concepts to stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy.
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience leading end-to-end mobile app design projects, from research to implementation.
- Strong proficiency in design tools, particularly Figma.
- Experience in developing and managing scalable design systems.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and experience applying JTBD or similar frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fully remote, cross-functional team environment.
- A portfolio showcasing your ability to deliver impactful, user-centered design solutions that align with business objectives.
- Work-related travel: Available to travel approximately two to three times a year for company off-sites, customer visits, and industry conferences.
