Join HubSpot’s Commerce Hub (Core Experiences) UX Team: Design What Our Customers Love

Joining this team means stepping into a central role in HubSpot’s payments evolution, where thoughtful systems and AI design directly shape how businesses onboard, manage, and grow their payments capabilities. The work focuses on building AI-driven experiences that support complex and sensitive workflows, including onboarding, billing & payment migrations, verification, secure document uploads, payouts, and account tools. These touchpoints define the beginning of our commercial relationship with customers, so they need to be visually refined, highly reliable, and built for trust.

A strong fit for this role has a background in high craft end-to-end product systems and experience designing AI solutions that guide users through detailed, multi-step processes. You will help customers move smoothly from discovery to enrollment to ongoing account management by creating clear, scalable workflows that support adoption and long-term confidence. We’re also looking for someone that can work across complex organizations and influence stakeholders across multiple orgs.

What You’ll Do
  • Flagship Impact: Shape Commerce at Hubspot—what our customers see, touch, and rely on daily. You’ll help create AI driven onboarding experiences that will make moving existing payment flows from another provider a seamless experience.
  • Craft + Innovation: We elevate end-to-end journeys, and we aren’t afraid to embrace new technology—including AI and automation—to unlock new value for users and designers alike. We’re looking for innovators who can use AI to solve customer problems.
  • Own End-to-End Experiences: Take charge of projects that impact Commerce—from discovery to ship and iteration—delivering solutions that are beautiful, frictionless, and truly customer-centered.
  • Design With Craft and System Thinking: Build and refine UI, flows, and journeys that unify the experience across Hubs. Champion patterns, reduction, and clarity—so complex tasks feel as effortless as they are powerful.
  • Leverage Data, Analytics, and AI: Use smart data and customer insights—including automation/AI where it creates genuine value—to inform, validate, and measure design decisions.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work hand-in-hand with PMs, engineers, researchers, data/AI experts, and content designers to balance user, business, and technical needs. Influence the broader org through partnership and storytelling.
  • Measure, Learn, Iterate: Define success for every project, ship fast (and right), and continuously improve based on user and business outcomes.
  • Foster a Bold, Inclusive Culture: Elevate team craft, mentor others, share feedback, and help define what’s next for Core Experiences at HubSpot.
What You’ll Bring To HubSpot
  • Proven Product Design Craft Expertise: To stand out in the application process, share a portfolio that showcases depth of craft, systems thinking, and measurable impact on users and the business, especially in complex, scalable, or platform environments.
    • Please include at least three recent case studies highlighting these strengths, with at least one of them being an AI focused feature or product
  • Collaborative Leadership: A history of influencing outcomes across disciplines by building trust, driving alignment, and championing user-centric solutions.
  • Systems and Scale Thinking: Passion for connecting the dots across products and platforms, designing experiences that grow with our customers and business needs.
  • Adaptability & Change Readiness: Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive mindset in the face of change. You’re energized by new challenges and thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • AI & Automation Curiosity: Excitement to work with (and continue learning about) AI and automation—whether to elevate customer experiences or optimize how we design and deliver.
  • Growth Mindset: A genuine drive to constantly learn, share knowledge, and help yourself and others get better, every day.
We Welcome You—Wherever You Are in Your Journey

We know great designers come from many backgrounds. If you’re unsure if you “check all the boxes,” apply anyway. Impact, learning, and growth drive our team—help us make design stronger for everyone.
