We’re looking for a Product Designer that can understand the container observability needs of developers and turn them into elegant and delightful products. Containerization technology is evolving fast, so while a solid foundation in cloud computing concepts is helpful, we are looking for someone that is excited and curious about this space, and has experience learning new technologies first-hand.
As a Senior Product Designer on the Containers team at Datadog, you’ll tackle the challenge of making sense of complex, evolving systems. You excel at breaking down intricate concepts and user workflows into clear, intuitive, and elegant experiences. Our team sits at the crossroads of observability, cloud computing, and infrastructure. While experience in these domains is valuable, what matters most is your ability to turn technical complexity into clear, user-friendly solutions.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to deeply understand customer needs and design innovative solutions that meet them. Your work will directly shape how customers monitor, manage, and gain insight into their containerized environments, enabling them to succeed at scale.

- Become an expert in your product area
- Communicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the company
- Work closely with engineering teams to understand how your designs will be built
Who You Are:
- You have 5+ years of experience in digital product design

- You have experience with advanced prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Protopie, Principle, Framer, Sketch)
- You understand systems thinking and component-based design patterns
- You give and receive feedback well, supporting and improving the work of your colleagues as well as your own
- Advocate for design (Work with technical SMEs as the US SME)
Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.
