Alma is seeking a mission-driven Product Designer to support our therapy search experiences, creating engaging, high-impact features which help clients find providers who are right for them. You’ll be a part of our Care Finding domain, reporting to the Senior Product Design Manager.

The ideal person for this role is passionate about Alma’s mission to make mental healthcare more accessible, has strong user empathy, is data-driven, and is comfortable working rapidly and iteratively to deliver measurable results.

What you’ll do:

  • Design and test new features which help prospective clients find mental health support which meets their needs, prioritizing an intuitive, supportive, and efficient user experience.
  • Work closely and transparently with partners from Product, Engineering, Data and Marketing.
  • Work iteratively, using A/B testing, research, and other tools to test hypotheses and solutions.
  • Collaborate with other designers across the organization, particularly on the Care Finding Provider team, which represents the clinical side of our marketplace.

Who you are:

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer in a consumer-facing space. Previous experience with search or marketplaces is preferred but not required.
  • You have a portfolio with case studies of real, shipped work that showcases a deep understanding of user needs, your creative problem-solving chops, and your ability to build strong, consumer-grade experiences.
  • You are comfortable working rapidly and iteratively to build stronger product experiences, with a bias toward action. You focus on measurable user and business outcomes, and are able to move forward decisively through ambiguity.
  • You are a curious, ambitious, empathetic, and strategic designer who thrives in complexity and brings clarity to ambiguous problem spaces.
  • You are fluent in digital design and prototyping tools, especially Figma, and can confidently communicate ideas through flows, wireframes, and prototypes
  • You are passionate about user research, from moderating interviews to synthesizing insights, and you advocate for accessibility and usability in every solution.
  • You are motivated by Alma’s mission and excited to help improve how mental health care is delivered and experienced.

Salary Band: $155,000-$175,000
