We are seeking a Senior Privacy & Compliance Manager to join our team. This is a remote role based in the United States.
Job Summary
The Senior Privacy & Compliance Manager is responsible for advancing Imprivata's enterprise-wide privacy, security, and compliance programs. Reporting to the Director, Privacy & Compliance Counsel, this role manages cross-functional project delivery and audit readiness efforts across data privacy, and Responsible AI initiatives. By combining deep regulatory expertise with exceptional program management and customer-centric thinking, the Senior Manager enables scalable, sustainable compliance in support of Imprivata's trusted digital identity solutions.

This position offers a total compensation range of $165,900.00 to 196,350.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). Reporting to the Director, Privacy & Compliance Counsel, this role manages cross-functional project delivery and audit readiness efforts across data privacy, and Responsible AI initiatives. By combining deep regulatory expertise with exceptional program management and customer-centric thinking, the Senior Manager enables scalable, sustainable compliance in support of Imprivata's trusted digital identity solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage cross-functional privacy, security, and compliance initiatives to ensure alignment with applicable and evolving healthcare and data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), and manage project lifecycles, stakeholder expectations, and resource allocation.
- Oversee and refine governance processes, documentation, and metrics to drive delivery excellence across privacy, security, and Responsible AI domains, while supporting SDLC alignment and policy integration.
- Serve as the compliance liaison with Product, Engineering, Legal, InfoSec, Marketing, Customer Experience, RfX, and Operations to embed privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles into product development and data lifecycle management as well as business unit operations.
- Manage internal compliance investigations and manage enterprise privacy incident response processes, including documentation, mitigation, and regulatory reporting.
- Guide internal stakeholders in interpreting and operationalizing complex healthcare compliance and privacy requirements and act as a point of escalation and knowledge resource.
- Maintain regulatory documentation, support data and architecture mapping, and develop SOPs that align with privacy/AI frameworks and organizational policies.
- Support training and awareness efforts that align with employee development goals and company-wide compliance maturity.
- Prepare periodic updates for senior leadership on program performance, risk posture, KPIs, and audit outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Legal Studies, Cybersecurity, Healthcare, Computer Science, Business).
- 6+ years of experience in privacy, security, or compliance, ideally within healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
- Demonstrated leadership in project delivery, audit readiness, and compliance operations.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare compliance and global privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, US laws, PIPEDA), and data protection frameworks.
- Familiarity with privacy and security frameworks embedded in product lifecycles or managed service models.
- Sound organizational and analytical skills with experience in issue escalation, stakeholder alignment, and project documentation.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritize multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification or equivalent experience in cross-functional program delivery.
- Experience working with Salesforce, GRC tools, or privacy engineering platforms.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, or CISA preferred.
- Prior experience in a software company, health tech, or digital identity technology company a plus.
