Job Description
Join our Tactical Mobile (TacMobile) Systems team as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, leading the development and sustainment of critical mobile systems for USN and FMS customers. This position is located in North Charleston, SC and is contingent upon contract award.
About the Role:
As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, you will play a key leadership role in the design, development, and engineering of complex TacMobile systems and subsystems. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring seamless integration, optimal performance, and compliance with specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead system design, development, and engineering of TacMobile systems and subsystems
  • Conduct system architecture design, component selection, and integration planning to meet TacMobile requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams involved in TacMobile program activities
  • Mentor junior engineers and scientists to enhance their skills and capabilities in TacMobile system development
  • Oversee the integration, testing, and evaluation of TacMobile systems to ensure functionality, interoperability, and compliance with specifications

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
The successful candidate must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline to include but not limited to aerospace, computer, electrical, mechanical, software, or systems engineering.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in support of Command & Control (C2) and/or Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Platforms to include: Technology Analysis and Assessment, Design Definition, Development of Systems Specifications, Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Integration, Test & Evaluation Criteria, and Logistics support. Note: Experience may be concurrent.
  • Experience with Digital Engineering and be well versed in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) employment.
  • Experience leading the development of Command and Control, Communications, Computing, Combat, or ISR systems/equipment for DoD applications.
  • Working knowledge of project planning and management.
  • Excellent cognitive, communication (written and spoken), and interpersonal skills, briefing and providing reports to executive-level leaders.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • TacMobile experience preferred.
  • Experience with Cameo MBSE tool and IBM Rational Concert Suite preferred.
  • Professional Engineer License preferred.
  • Experience with Foreign Military Sales and Foreign Disclosure requirements preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITAR and Export Control is a plus.


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $106654 - $181311
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
