BAE Systems is seeking an experienced and energetic Chief Engineer (CE) to help lead our established and rapidly expanding engineering team in the CEMA Business Area. Our employees work on the world's most advanced electronics, you'll be among the brightest minds, working on the aerospace and defense industry's most difficult problems. We are looking for a CE who can successfully assess customer technical requirements and lead the effort to derive the system technical baseline for a major new program. In this role you will be the 'hands on' technical lead of a program, ensuring the system(s), product(s), and service(s) being developed and delivered are viable, fit for purpose, and will satisfy customer needs, product/system requirements, and the mission and/or application. ACES is a dynamic and growing product line with several advanced technology development programs as well as high-rate production programs with a common mission to protect the warfighter. Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Active Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain Special Access clearances
  • At least 10 years direct experience as Subject Matter Expert in RF EW payloads
  • Experience designing, building, testing and integrating small form factor payloads
  • Demonstrated experience as a technical leader

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline
  • Requirements development and derivation from top-level needs down to sub-system needs
  • Authoring white papers/RFIs for US Gov't customers
  • Leading or contributing significantly to proposals
  • MBSE experience with MagicDraw
  • SCI Eligible

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
