The Senior Principal orchestrates cross-functional teams across sales, product, analytics, implementation, finance, and operations to deliver insights at scale and position Surescripts as a must-have, data-driven partner to its clients.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise Account Partnership:

  • Own a focused portfolio of 1–5 highly strategic enterprise accounts with multi-year agreements and complex governance structures.

  • Operate at both the enterprise and solution level to establish long-term account strategy, value realization, and growth.

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for overall account performance, outcomes, and executive alignment.

  • Manage relationships within complex, matrixed client organizations, engaging senior leaders across strategy, analytics, operations, and finance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Act as a bridge across internal teams - including Sales, Product, Data & Analytics, Finance, Legal, Operations, Implementation, and Customer Support - to align solutions to client objectives.

  • Lead complex, post-sale initiatives such as analytics deployments, new capability launches, and large-scale solution rollouts with strong governance and accountability.

  • Proactively identify internal process gaps or data limitations that could impact client outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

  • Partners effectively with analytics teams to ensure insights are relevant, credible, and outcome focused.

Analytical & Financial Excellence:

  • Lead a data-driven account management strategy, working closely with Surescripts’ Data & Analytics teams to interpret customer data, usage metrics, benchmarks, and outcome KPIs that inform decisions and drive measurable client impact.

  • Individually and with the help of data professionals, translate complex analytics into clear, executive-ready insights and narratives that demonstrate measurable business impact (e.g., revenue growth, efficiency gains, improved client outcomes).

  • Show strong financial acumen, comfortable discussing ROI, cost-benefit analyses, and economic justifications for solutions with client procurement and finance leaders.

  • Rigorously quantify the impact of Surescripts’ partnership in terms that resonate with executive stakeholders, meeting the highest standards of evidence and business value.

  • Ensures data is translated into clear recommendations that drive measurable results.

Account Planning, Measurement & Forecasting:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise-grade account plans outlining strategic objectives, multi-year roadmaps, stakeholder alignment, revenue projections, risks, and mitigation strategies.

  • Establish clear success measures and dashboards to track value realization, adoption, and outcomes over time.

  • Maintain strong forecasting and CRM discipline, providing accurate visibility into account health, renewals, and growth opportunities.

  • Ensure continuous renewal readiness through proactive measurement of delivered value and stakeholder sentiment.

Consultative Client Engagement:

  • Engage credibly with client executives on strategy, performance, and future-state planning.

  • Lead consultative, insight-driven conversations that move beyond features to address enterprise-wide business challenges.

  • Use segmentation, benchmarking, and comparative analytics to help clients understand performance relative to peers and industry standards.

  • Identify and pursue whitespace opportunities by uncovering unmet needs, new use cases, and expansion opportunities grounded in data and insights.

Industry and Market Awareness:

  • Proactively monitors external market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging analytics practices.

  • Connects market insights to client strategy and internal solution development.

Qualifications: Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
