The Senior Principal, Data Owner, Capital Markets will lead the strategy, acquisition, governance, and productization of data assets to support multiple capital market client use cases.
The Senior Principal, Data Owner, Capital Markets will have a deep understanding of data and data suppliers within private equity, private credit, and venture capital ecosystems.
Senior Principal, Data Owner, Capital Markets will have experience with data providers like Crunchbase, Preqin, Pitchbook etc.
The Senior Principal, Data Owner, Capital Markets is a subject matter expert, identifying and capitalizing on emerging trends and ensuring data effectively supports business drivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for all capital markets data-related matters.
- Define and execute the strategy for managing and monetizing data assets aligned with organizational growth goals for the capital markets space.
- Conduct extensive market research to identify relevant data sources and stay updated with emerging data trends, client needs, regulations, and reporting frameworks.
- Execute test contracts, retrieve testing deliverables, negotiate new contracts, and create custom SLAs to secure the best terms and value.
- Collaborate across departments and with senior leaders, ensuring data relevance and fit, and drive initiatives to maximize the utility and profitability of data as a strategic asset.
- Identify opportunities to commercialize data assets, including partnerships, licensing, and new product development.
- Monitor emerging trends in capital markets and data technologies to anticipate future needs and opportunities.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree - Required
- Master's Degree - Preferred
Skills Needed:
- 7+ years of experience in capital markets in data-related roles.
- 5+ years pf data product strategy experience.
- Deep understanding of data and data suppliers within private equity, private credit, and venture capital ecosystems.
