Binance is seeking a Senior PR Manager to lead and execute public relations strategy across Southeast Asia.
This role is responsible for shaping Binance’s public narrative, managing media relationships, navigating regulatory sensitivities, and ensuring consistent, credible communications.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned PR leader with strong regional media networks, experience in regulated industries (finance, fintech, tech), and the ability to balance proactive storytelling with risk-aware communications.
Responsibilities:
- Regional PR Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute an integrated PR and communications strategy for Southeast Asia, aligned with Binance’s global positioning and regional considerations.
- Prioritize SEA, ensuring deeper media engagement, stronger visibility, and sustained brand credibility.
- Adapt messaging and approach where appropriate, focusing on compliance-safe communications and reputation management.
- Media Relations & Thought Leadership:
- Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with top-tier, business, financial, and tech media across the region.
- Secure consistent, high-quality media coverage including interviews, op-eds, commentary, and feature stories.
- Position Binance spokespeople as credible thought leaders on crypto, blockchain, financial innovation, and regulation-aware growth.
- Regulatory-Sensitive Communications:
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Policy teams to ensure all external communications are accurate, compliant, and risk-appropriate.
- Support communications around regulatory developments, market restrictions, and compliance milestones in a clear and responsible manner.
- Act as a key communications partner during issues management or crisis scenarios.
- Campaigns, Launches & Corporate Announcements:
- Lead PR planning and execution for product launches, partnerships, corporate announcements, and regional campaigns.
- Ensure announcements are localized where appropriate while maintaining a consistent regional narrative.
- Coordinate with global PR teams to align timing, messaging, and spokesperson strategy.
- Agency & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage and guide local PR agencies where applicable, ensuring clear briefs, high standards, and measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Social, Community, Partnerships, and Global Comms teams.
- Provide senior-level counsel to internal stakeholders on media strategy and public positioning.
- Measurement & Reporting:
- Track and analyze PR performance using key metrics (share of voice, sentiment, message pull-through, tier-1 coverage).
- Deliver clear monthly and quarterly reports with insights, risks, and recommendations.
- Continuously refine strategy based on data, market feedback, and regulatory context.
Requirements:
- Experience & Background:
- 8–12+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or corporate affairs.
- Strong background in financial services, fintech, technology, crypto, or regulated industries.
- Direct, hands-on experience managing multi-market or regional PR strategies in Southeast Asia.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent media instincts with strong storytelling and message framing skills.
- High level of regulatory awareness and risk sensitivity.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining execution-focused.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Confident advisor to senior leaders and spokespersons.
- Fluency in English is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders. Additional languages would be an advantage.
