Job Description Summary:

The Power Platform & M365 Automation Engineer (AI/Copilot) is responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling intelligent automation solutions that anchor our cloud-first, modern workplace strategy across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem – including Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Azure AI technologies. This position focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening secure, seamless collaboration and modernizing the employee experience through low-code and AI-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, demonstrate a hands-on approach, and thrive in executing automation initiatives in a greenfield environment while partnering with governance, security and change-management teams to ensure sustainable adoption and platform health.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, build, and deploy low-code/no-code solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams integrations.

  • Develop AI-powered automation workflows using Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and Azure AI Services (e.g., Cognitive Services, OpenAI integration).

  • Support business process reviews with functional teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.

  • Create reference architectures, reusable components, and best‑practice templates.

  • Build intelligent agents and copilots using Microsoft’s AI stack that help reduce manual work and support decision-making.

  • Integrate automation and AI tools into existing digital workplace platforms, ensuring security, governance, and sustainability.

  • Act as a technical lead on early-stage projects, establishing repeatable patterns, templates, and best practices.

  • Partner with IT governance to define standards around AI usage, automation lifecycle management, and solution architecture.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub / Azure DevOps) for Power Platform assets, including automated testing and environmental promotion.

  • Monitor solution health and performance; drive continuous improvement.

  • Educate and support business users through training, adoption programs, and enablement of citizen developers.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • 7-10 years building and scaling Microsoft 365 & Power Platform solutions, including at least one enterprise rollout (>5 k users) or tenant consolidation.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Demonstrated experience building and deploying real-world solutions using Copilot Studio and/or custom copilots.

  • Proven use of Azure AI Services (e.g., Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI, AI Builder) in automation workflows.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools (Teams, Viva, Syntex) and their integration into process solutions.

  • Proficient with Prompt Engineering, RAG patterns and integrating AI models into business workflows

  • Working knowledge of PowerShell and Graph API for extending Microsoft 365 capabilities.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills to translate complex technical concepts into business value.

  • Experience working in an enterprise or regulated environment with attention to security and compliance.

Benefits:

Compensation Range:

$133,383.00 - $177,400.00
