Senior Platform Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with 5+ years of experience who excels at building internal platforms that empower engineering teams. In this role, you will own critical systems end to end, from architecture to operations, and drive platform strategy with a high degree of autonomy. You will design and evolve the foundational services, tooling, and infrastructure that enable product, hardware, autonomy, and backend teams to build quickly and reliably. The ideal candidate takes initiative, makes sound architectural decisions, and thrives on defining paved paths that scale with the company.

• Design, build, and maintain core platform services that support internal engineering teams, including shared runtimes, service frameworks, and foundational backend components.

• Own platform systems end to end, from design through deployment, monitoring, and ongoing iteration.

• Build self service tooling and automation that enable teams to deploy, test, observe, and operate services with minimal friction.

• Architect and maintain container orchestration environments using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring predictable and reliable multi service operation.

• Develop and improve CI/CD systems, including standardized workflows, templates, and automation for the full software lifecycle.

• Partner closely with teams across the company to understand needs, remove roadblocks, and evolve platform capabilities that improve developer experience.

• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure with an emphasis on scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.

• Establish and maintain observability standards for logging, metrics, alerting, and distributed tracing.

• Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking, and service boundaries.

• Ensure strong security posture across platform components, access controls, and deployment pipelines.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.

• Proven ability to own systems autonomously, drive engineering initiatives, and make platform wide architectural decisions.

• Strong proficiency with Go, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, platform architecture, and DevOps principles.

• Experience operating production systems with robust monitoring, logging, and observability.

• Demonstrated ability to design systems and tooling that serve multiple engineering teams.

• Strong problem solving skills and comfort operating in a fast paced startup environment.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Experience in UAV, IoT, robotics, or other distributed hardware systems.

• Proficiency in C or C++ for integration with embedded or edge systems.

• Strong networking fundamentals.

• Experience with AWS services and large scale cloud environments.
