What You'll Do
- Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain platform capabilities used by engineering teams across DraftKings.
- Develop clean, scalable, and maintainable software, primarily using C# and .NET Core.
- Build and improve platform infrastructure through software engineering and automation to enable reliable and efficient application delivery.
- Manage and enhance Kubernetes-based environments, including automating deployments using Helm Charts.
- Apply GitOps practices to improve deployment automation, consistency, and reliability.
- Build solutions for distributed systems and microservice environments with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and performance.
- Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues across distributed environments.
- Partner with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, contribute to engineering best practices, and mentor other engineers.
- Improve observability, performance testing, deployment strategies, and operational excellence across the platform.
What You'll Bring
- 4+ years of professional software development experience, ideally with experience in C# and .NET Core.
- Experience building and supporting distributed systems and microservice architectures.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and modern application deployment practices.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and an understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across complex distributed environments.
- Understanding of modern deployment strategies, including canary and blue-green deployments.
- Familiarity with GitOps methodologies and infrastructure and application deployment automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog and the ELK Stack.
- Experience with end-to-end performance testing at scale is a plus.
