Job Description:
Bounteous is seeking a Platform Developer to build, configure, and optimize Adobe Journey Optimizer journeys and cross-channel experiences for a global telecommunications client. This hands-on role focuses on journey development, and data-driven personalization, and end-to-end testing within Adobe Experience Cloud.
The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing automation developer who understands AEP and AJO mechanics. This individual will collaborate with architects, analysts, and marketing stakeholders to deliver high-quality B2B and B2C engagement experiences across email, push, SMS, and in-app channels.
Responsibilities
- Configure, build, and test journeys, events, actions, and automations within Adobe Journey Optimizer.
- Implement audiences, decision rules, and event-based triggers supporting journey logic.
- Collaborate with AJO Architects and Analysts to align on data usage, identity, and orchestration patterns.
- Integrate AJO with other Adobe and third-party systems using APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.
- Conduct thorough QA and end-to-end validation for journeys and multichannel experiences.
- Troubleshoot campaign, data flow, and activation issues.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and performance optimization across B2B and B2C channels.
- Contribute to reusable libraries, documentation, and best practices within the development team.
- Stay up to date with AEP and AJO releases, features, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in marketing automation or orchestration development, including 2+ years of Adobe Journey Optimizer experience.
- Strong knowledge of AJO journey components (Events, Actions, Audiences, Decisioning).
- Familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform schemas, datasets, and identity models.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, JSON, and APIs.
- Experience troubleshooting campaign, data, and execution issues within marketing platforms.
- Strong QA discipline with experience validating multichannel campaign execution.
- Adobe certifications preferred (AJO, AEP).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or related field.
Information Security Responsibilities
- Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
- Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
- Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information
