THE ROLE: Senior Planner - Financial Planning
We’re looking for…
As a Senior Planner – Financial Planning, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic financial initiatives and managing the financial aspects of merchandise planning and inventory management across multiple product categories. In this position, you will oversee complex financial projects, mentor junior planners, and provide actionable insights.
You will leverage advanced analytics to forecast sales, manage inventory levels, and ensure alignment with overarching business objectives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Thinking
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive merchandise financial plans, incorporating budgets, sales forecasts, and multi-departmental inventory strategies.
- Spearhead and optimize the in-season Open-to-Buy process to drive profitability and achieve key financial objectives.
- Establish financial strategies that align with long-term business goals and evolving market dynamics.
Financial Agility
- Direct the optimization of inventory levels to balance customer demand with business goals, minimizing excess inventory and markdowns.
- Apply advanced forecasting methodologies to anticipate future sales trends and inventory requirements across multiple product categories.
Results Driven
- Identify and lead initiatives to enhance tools and planning processes, reinforcing efficiency and accuracy across the organization.
- Lead ad hoc financial strategic analysis to evaluate business initiatives.
Leadership
- Cultivate a collaborative, high-performing culture within the planning team and broader organization
- Participate in developing a planning team with the ability to identify strategies supported by sound financial plans.
- Build trust and drive engagement across RGG Organization and support company decisions.
Communication
- Build and foster effective relationships with merchandising, programming, and other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of merchandising strategies to drive overall business objectives.
- Influence decisions with the planning team and cross functionally
- Possess strong presentation skills and the ability to build sound business cases.

- 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning, with at least 2 years experience in leadership roles
- Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate cross-functionally.
- In-depth knowledge of retail industry trends, consumer behavior, and market dynamics.
- Demonstrated planning and analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, Business Intelligence
- Bachelor’s degree in business or another quantitative field preferred
- E-commerce, Off Price and Multi brand retail experience preferred.
Expected Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000

Our goal is to support, reward and compensate the entire individual. Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
