If you're ready to help the world's best companies optimize their digital applications, we invite you to explore a career with us!

Your opportunity

New Relic is undergoing a fundamental shift in how we scale through the North American channel. We are moving away from a reactive, transactional model toward a proactive partner engaged strategy. As the Senior Partner Sales Manager-East, you will be a key architect of this transformation.

This is a "Builder" role. You will lead these key initiatives:

  1. Recruit, and onboard high-potential VAR & MSP partners, negotiating contracts and establishing clear expectations for sales, marketing, and technical support.
  2. Develop and execute strategic sales plans with VAR & MSP partners, setting realistic sales targets and tracking progress against goals.
  3. Grow users, consumption, and net new logos thru VAR & MSP Partners

What you'll do

  • Drive net new sales with your key focus partners
  • Work with various business units within New Relic - Sales, Customer Service/Technical teams, Services, Product & Marketing teams to build partner driven revenue
  • Lead partner relationship & enablement initiatives across New Relic ecosystem partner types
  • Collect and evangelize partner success journeys internally with sales teams, management, and externally within partner ecosystems
  • Distribute partner success & enablement content to pre and post sales teams
  • Work with Leadership & Sales Operations to measure program efficiency across partners

This role requires

  • 5+ Years in Channel Sales: Deep experience specifically with partners such as Presidio, Pellera, Optiv, Ahead and more
  • 7+ Years in Software sales
  • Change Management DNA: You are comfortable telling partners (and internal teams) "the old way is over" and leading them through a new operational model.
  • Operational Excellence: You can design a pricing sheet, draft an enablement deck, and run a QBR with equal proficiency.

Build & Execute Mentality: You can prove that you have built and executed against similar strategies and love ‘doing’ the role rather than simply ‘designing’ the strategy.

Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
