About the Role
Actian is seeking a Senior Partner Marketing Manager to lead and execute demand generation programs through our ecosystem of technology and channel partners.

This role is responsible for developing and executing partner marketing strategies that generate pipeline, drive joint value with partners, and accelerate revenue through co-branded campaigns and go-to-market programs.

You will work cross-functionally with product marketing, sales, alliances, and partner managers to develop campaigns, offers, and events that highlight our joint solutions and create compelling reasons for customers to engage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the partner demand generation strategy – work with product & field marketing and partner managers to design and execute integrated marketing plans with technology and channel partners that drive pipeline and revenue.
  • Develop joint go-to-market programs – collaborate with partners on campaign planning, messaging, content creation, and activation aligned to shared business goals.
  • Lead co-branding initiatives – ensure a consistent, compelling message across partner-facing assets including solution briefs, landing pages, webinars, and events.
  • Activate partner campaigns – manage execution of joint webinars, digital campaigns, ABM programs, and field events in collaboration with partners.
  • Partner sales enablement – work with Product Marketing and Alliances to develop and distribute co-branded playbooks, training materials, and sales tools to support joint selling motions.
  • Partner Portal – own marketing content, campaign and enablement updates within the partner portal. Work with Alliances to ensure a positive experience for partners as they engage through the portal.
  • Partner Marketing Infrastructure & Process – collaborate cross-functionally to build the necessary infrastructure to manage MDF, co-marketing results, lead processes, and other partner ecosystem aspects
  • Marketplace – own how Actian shows up on hyperscaler marketplaces
  • Track, analyze, and optimize performance – measure campaign effectiveness, report ROI, and iterate based on partner and pipeline feedback.
  • Collaborate across teams – work closely with partner managers, product marketing, and field marketing to align strategy and execution.
  • Maintain partner relationships – act as a key marketing point of contact for select strategic partners.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in partner marketing, demand generation, or B2B marketing with a strong track record of pipeline creation.
  • Experience with technology alliances, channel partners, or ISVs in a B2B software/SaaS environment.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute joint GTM campaigns and co-branded marketing initiatives.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns across partners and regions.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills — both internally and externally.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience tracking KPIs and reporting marketing ROI.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation, CRM, and partner marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Marketo, etc.)
  • Knowledge of partner portals, MDF processes, or PRM tools.
  • Preferred: experience with metadata management, data governance, data intelligence or data quality/observability platforms
  • Background working with global partner ecosystems.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
