Protective Life is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Operations Specialist to join our Executive Benefits division, with a focus on BOLI/COLI policy administration. This role supports the operational backbone of our Executive Benefits team, ensuring smooth processing of financial transactions, reporting, and client service functions. This includes the daily workflow of incoming tasks, premium admin, titles, quality and helps the team meet its overall productivity goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support and backup coverage for the Workflow & Delivery Coordinator, including processing incoming emails and assigning tasks in the workflow system.
  • Act as a backup for Premium Administration by monitoring bank accounts, reconciling transactions, and distributing monthly billing statements.
  • Monitor ACH returns and NOC (Notification of Change) activity in SAP, reverse payments as necessary, and notify clients accordingly.
  • Assist with lower complexity updates such as agent or benefit changes, reporting needs, and general inquiries.
  • Support analysts by generating manual and specialized reports as needed.
  • Perform quality control checks on contractual tasks and maintain accurate tracking of Quality Control activities.
  • Contribute to team productivity by supporting additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by the manager.

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge Required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-starter with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Adobe Writer.
  • Familiarity with workflow tools and financial services processes is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of related experience (Financial transaction processing, Customer Service, Cash Handling).
  • 1+ year of experience with BOLI/COLI products or life insurance operations strongly preferred.
  • Note: This position requires successful completion of FINRA fingerprinting upon acceptance of the role, in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
