About the role:
As a Senior Mobile Engineer for Accompany Health, you will play a critical role in the design, development and deployment of our internal employee-focused mobile application. Leveraging React Native with Expo, you will be robust, scalable, and intuitive user experiences explicitly tailored to healthcare workflows and inpatient visits.
You will also:
-Collaborate with various teams, including Product, Sales, and Clinical Team, to rewire health care: Your choices will matter, and you will work across various teams to help execute the choices.
-Drive the change in healthcare: You will build the products to integrate highly fragmented and dispersed healthcare services as an end-to-end experience.
-Influence and build the technology foundation: You will define our architecture and ensure that our technology approach meets short-term agility needs and sets us up to scale and evolve long-term.
-Be part of building a great engineering culture, maintaining the balance and right tradeoff for building products for speed and tech debt.
Responsibilities will include:
- Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native and Expo.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and deliver new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
- Implement comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Detox) to ensure high-quality releases.
- Manage and oversee the process of preparing and deploying apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Actively participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies and methodologies, advocating for improvements in the app's functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain application stability.
Desired skills and experience:
- Required
- 7+ years experience building and deploying mobile applications.
- At least 5 years of dedicated experience with React Native and in a production environment.
- Proficient with Expo and familiarity with its ecosystem.
- At least 5 years experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern mobile development experience with mobile-specific libraries, APIs, and integration methods.
- Experience implementing robust testing frameworks and practices.
- Proven experience publishing and maintaining applications on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Experience with Agile and methodologies and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent understanding of UX/UI best practices tailored for mobile platforms.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects from concept to deployment.
- Previous experience developing healthcare applications.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA).
- Experience in optimizing apps for performance, security, and scalability in a regulated environment.
