Senior Mixed-Signal/Analog Design Engineer

          

Position Overview:

As ADI expands into new product and market segments, the Instrumentation group is looking for a skilled Mixed-Signal/Analog IC Design Engineer based in Colorado Springs, CO who will be responsible for designing high performance mixed-signal ICs with companion DC/DC converters targeted at ATE power management markets.

As a Mixed-Signal/Analog IC Design Engineer, you will perform a full range of product development activities including, but not limited to:

  • Transistor-level circuit design and simulation.
  • Architect, implement and analyze trade-offs of analog blocks.
  • Design and/or integrate Linear Amplifiers, Bias blocks, Switches, DFX, Digital I/O, LDO’s, ADCs and DACs.
  • Perform mixed-signal IC simulation and modelling.
  • Create analog system and circuit models to support digital system verification.
  • Collaborate with digital design to integrate analog and digital systems.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to the physical layout team.
  • Evaluate and troubleshoot complex integrated circuit problems in the laboratory.
  • Interface with test, product and applications engineering to successfully bring new products from initial concept through production release.
  • Product datasheet authoring and review.
  • Collaborate with test engineering to ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Analyze ATE characterization data to set test limits and validate product specification.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of customer returns and functional issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSEE and 4+ years of relevant industry experience with a strong background in analog and mixed-signal design. MSEE preferred.
  • Experience with mixed-signal design, simulation and modelling.
  • Knowledge of general lab equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience in designing Linear Amplifiers, Bias blocks, Switches, DFX, Digital I/O, LDO’s, ADCs and DACs.
  • Knowledge of circuit layout techniques.
  • Motivated, results oriented and creative problem solver with good writing, presentation and overall communication skills.
  • Must be self-directed, detail-oriented and thorough.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $108,800 to $149,600.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.

  • This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
