What you'll do:
- Lead the development of best-in-class analyses for evaluating promotional effectiveness with respect to financial performance, product assortment, site placement, and customer experience measures, partnering with senior cross-functional partners to clarify problem statements and scope
- Independently find opportunities for application of advanced analytical solutions and models, ultimately deploying these solutions independently or with support from Business Analysts
- Leverage large data sets and write advanced SQL code efficiently combining multiple sources to surface actionable insights that support Merchandising in making data driven decisions
- Develop a centralized repository of insights on promotion performance and deliver recommendations to business partners for enhancing specific business outcomes
- Program manages cross-functional analytics initiatives that require development of new data tables and fields, data products, and tools for both internal and external partners
- Partner with business analysts and data engineering teams to prioritize and QA development of new data sources, tables, metrics and products
- Support Merchandising leadership in understanding and influencing business inputs to drive favorable outputs across customer experience and financial metrics
- Intake, translate, prioritize business partner inputs to inform new data products and enhance existing reports
- Communicate findings and influence partners at various levels
- Lead, coach, and mentor business analysts to help them deliver results, develop analytical skills, and grow their careers
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field (e.g., Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Information Management) or related field with analytical emphasis.
- 5+ years of directly transferrable work experience (e.g., data analysis and modeling, data visualization, forecasting, ETL processes, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and various technologies such as R, Python, etc.
- Advanced data visualization skills using software such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.
- Thorough understanding of Financial critical metrics and P&L statement with proficiency in implementing break-even analyses, NPV, and return on investment analyses
- High degree of proficiency with completing complex data analyses
- Ability to independently lead cross-functional projects, delivering high quality results on timelines
- Strong understand of Ecommerce pricing and promotion critical metrics
- High degree of proficiency driving complex and large-scale data analyses across millions of records
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical collaborators and senior leadership
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and relational or columnar database structure
- Superior attention to detail and experience creating mechanisms to monitor data integrity
- Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with speed and commitment to quality
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
