A media buyer negotiates with advertising sales agents to acquire cost-efficient and budget-conscious advertising space, sponsorships, or product placements. Responsible for purchasing advertising space in print, outdoor, broadcast, and online outlets, such as magazines, billboards, radio stations, television stations, and websites.

For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can…

  • Leads media strategy, planning, execution and reporting for clients all media channels and platforms.

  • Manages a team of individual contributors

  • Establishes and implements individual and team priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure completion of responsibility for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent.

  • Manages and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.

  • Identifies and recommends process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality.

  • Manages assigned area(s) of responsibility to ensure workloads are appropriately balanced among team members.

  • Ensures that top talent is hired and retained for his/her assigned area(s) of responsibility.

  • Defines and builds organizational capabilities necessary to meet the business strategy.

  • Acts as a resource for the following media tactics: paid search, display, digital and traditional radio, traditional print, social media, digital and traditional video, website analytics, billboards.

  • Constantly keeping up to date in all areas surrounding media, including industry trends, platform features, new segmentation options, performance increasing measures.

  • Leads large scale research to create customized strategic media plans across various objectives, audiences, budgets, geos, targeting, etc.

  • Provides campaign estimates of performance, costs and conversions.

  • Defines and develops reporting metrics, KPIs and benchmarks for all media and website traffic.

  • Responsible for the overall media strategy for the year, including maintaining the clients’ yearly media budget and billing.

  • Regularly performing thorough campaign optimizations.

  • Analyzing campaign performance and integrating website traffic metrics.

  • Building and maintaining online dashboards.

  • Providing strong takeaways and actionable insights.

  • Incorporating and recommending SEO opportunities that are linked to running media to the client.

  • Identifying market trends and growth opportunities.

  • Media buying for the following tactics: paid search, display, digital and traditional radio, traditional print, social media, digital and traditional video, website analytics, billboards, television.

  • Working closely with vendors, negotiating rates, signing contracts and overall, maintaining consistence in the process.

  • Always discovering new, more efficient solutions and methods to strength the department.

  • Regularly researches solutions to difficult questions from clients or internal teams.

  • Presenting departmental capabilities and conducting internal training.

  • Presenting media capabilities, plans and reports to clients.

  • Collaborate with other internal teams to ensure media is linked to strategy.

  • Ensure that projects are completed within the given timeframe, within budget and meeting the goal of exceeding client expectations.

In this exciting career opportunity, you will have…

  • 6 years of experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, science or mathematics.

  • MS or MBA preferred.

Targeted Compensation...

$98,000 - $123,000 depending on experience.
