While we’ve demonstrated strong capabilities in mixed-media campaigns, including TV, we aim to establish ourselves as a trusted TV media firm for high-profile campaigns and causes in upcoming cycles. The Senior Media Advisor will play a key role in achieving this goal by building relationships, providing strategic advice, and securing TV media buy contracts for the 2026 cycle.

Relationship Building & Client Acquisition
- Develop and nurture relationships with candidates, campaign teams, and organizational principals (e.g., campaign managers, chiefs of staff, communications directors).
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor, offering communications and campaign strategy guidance to build long-term trust.
- Regularly meet with principals through informal settings (e.g., coffees, lunches, dinners) and join strategic calls, maintaining consistent engagement over 12-15 months.
- Position Middle Seat as a go-to firm for mixed-media campaign strategy and TV ad production.
- Contribute to firm-wide business development efforts, participating in sales pitches, proposals, and providing strategic insights to secure new high-profile clients and expand existing clients in paid media sales.
Media Strategy and Development
- Secure TV and mixed-media buy opportunities for the 2026 cycle
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication and providing strategic recommendations throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Oversee media buys, manage relationships with vendors and broadcasters, and ensure high-quality, timely execution of campaigns.
- Collaborate with Middle Seat’s internal teams to learn and integrate our TV and digital processes into your work.
Client Strategy & Relationship Management
- Provide strategic consulting to high-profile clients, focusing on general consulting, communications strategy, and paid media.
- Serve as the key point of contact for critical clients, ensuring VIP-level service and satisfaction.
- Maximize client accounts by identifying upsell opportunities and expanding services.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in client services, account management, or digital strategy, ideally within an agency or political organization.
- Proven track record of selling or upselling clients in the progressive or Democratic space, including proposal writing and pitching.
- Proven track record of managing high-profile clients and delivering exceptional results.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and developing cross-departmental teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate complex ideas into actionable strategies.
- Familiarity with project management tools and CRM systems, with a focus on optimizing client deliverables.
