We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role requires lead the Mechanical Engineering Department in delivering high-quality mechanical and electromechanical designs across multidisciplinary building and infrastructure projects. Oversee technical teams, manage design and construction supervision activities, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure BIMintegrated delivery. Familiarity with infrastructure such as pumping stations, treatment, and desalination plants is a plus. The role includes opportunities for regional travel and cross-office collaboration, particularly with SEG teams in Egypt and KSA.

Job Description

  • Manage the mechanical engineering department and optimize resource utilization
  • Lead mechanical design, design reviews, and supervision during construction.
  •  Oversee all project stages: schematic design, detailed design, D&B, IFC, and execution.
  • Detect and resolve BIM model clashes in collaboration with BIM specialists (LOD 300–500).
  • Ensure QA/QC compliance and coordination with MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines.
  •  Prepare and review BOQs, specs, technical reports, submittals, and tender packages
  •  Support site teams with technical evaluations and compliance oversight.
  •  Contribute to proposal efforts by defining scope, estimating resources, and offering technical solutions
  •  Participate in technical reviews, value engineering workshops, and coordination meetings.
  •  Stay current with mechanical engineering tools, codes, and BIM technologies.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory); Master’s in Mechanical, Energy, or Environmental Engineering (preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years in mechanical and electromechanical engineering with leadership responsibilities.
  •  Project Expertise: Proven experience in design, design review (including schematic, D&B, and IFC stages), and construction supervision of complex MEP systems.
  •  BIM & Tools: Proficient in Revit MEP, Navisworks; capable of managing BIM deliverables (LOD 300–500), and clash detection workflows.
  •  Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and pumping systems in multidisciplinary environments.
  •  Software: Skilled in AutoCAD; knowledge of Primavera/MS Project is a plus.
  •  Standards: Strong familiarity with KSA, MEA, GCC, and international codes and practices.
  •  Other Competencies: • Strong technical reporting, QA/QC, and problem-solving skills
  •  Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  •  Fluent in English and Arabic; French is a plus
  •  Willing to travel regionally (Egypt and KSA)
  •  Immediate availability preferred
