Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Beverly, MA (Onsite) Start Date: Immediate Interview Mode: Phone/Video
Minimum Requirements:
4–5 years of experience in the semiconductor domain.
BSME (Mechanical Engineering) minimum; MS preferred.
At least 1 year of CAD experience with Creo.
Experience with PLM systems.
Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design for ion implanter subsystems (process chambers, beamline structures, wafer handling, vacuum chambers).
Conduct design reviews, apply DfX principles, GD&T, and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
Perform hand calculations and FEA (CREO Simulate, ANSYS) for structural integrity and reliability.
Execute detailed CAD work, engineering drawings, and BOM management (Creo, AutoCAD, Windchill, Glovia).
Develop precision motion mechanisms and complex electromechanical assemblies.
Perform FEA/CFD (thermal, structural, modal) and validate designs via prototyping.
Drive manufacturability improvements, reliability growth, and cost reduction.
Define test requirements, coordinate execution, and document engineering test plans.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (systems, electrical, controls, physics, manufacturing, field service).
Ensure compliance with SEMI S2/S8 and internal safety standards.
Preferred Experience:
End station and wafer handling systems.
Semiconductor equipment design and vacuum system expertise.
Reverse engineering and precision motion systems.
