Our experts assess cyber risk and readiness, test and harden clients’ infrastructure, and respond instantly and decisively when threats arise. We regularly advise boards of directors, members of the C-suite, general counsel, outside counsel, IT leaders, and other stakeholders at all stages of any cyber incident.

Role Overview:
The Global Sales Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Senior Managing Director is an executive level position that leads global sales activities for the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy practice. This role will specifically focus on the creation of business development opportunities and generating revenue for the Practice along with leading a team of sales professionals. The successful candidate will be a "person of stature" and self-sustaining rainmaker who generates $4 - $5 million+ annually. The candidate will possess a strong personal brand and deep market-making relationships resulting in a robust flow of inbound calls and bookings. The candidate will be a hands-on, passionate consulting executive who will work with team members in developing and executing on key account plans, nurturing executive level client relationships of the most strategic accounts, and achieving revenue targets. The successful candidate must be a commercial leader able to drive revenue growth and capture market share. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as senior level leader for all global sales activities to include strategy development and execution, key performance indicators/metrics, and strategic account management.

  • Initiates and converts business opportunities and collaborates with other Senior Managing Directors to sell and deliver engagements that generate $4 - $5 million+ annually

  • Lead and manage a team of sales professionals responsible for driving growth across all practice service lines and geographical regions.

  • Collaborate with senior practitioners to develop and implement go to market strategies related to driving revenue growth.

  • Develop new Cybersecurity revenue opportunities for Ankura. The primary target markets for this activity are C-suite executives and leaders within organizations.

  • Build relationships and engage in activities designed to generate qualified leads, which will then be worked on in collaboration with Ankura practitioners.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of relevant business development work experience selling consulting services to target markets within the Cybersecurity industry

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. Advanced degrees, such as JD or MBA, are a plus

  • Proven revenue generation of $4MM to $5MM per year in consulting and/or professional services

  • The candidate will possess a strong personal brand and deep market-making relationships resulting in a robust flow of inbound calls and bookings

  • Experience working in either law firms or consulting firms is a plus, but also not required

  • Highly motivated, meticulous and energetic individual willing to work within in a team structure

  • Close attention to detail, including careful record keeping with regard to all sales activity
